Breaking Nanostation News: He did it again.

Command traitor seems brutal enough on its own (they can only get Obsessed on Fulp currently, which is bad but probably the most minor form of traitor possible). ...but then to have a looping rod, which is just excessively destructive (and potentially removed? I haven't seen it in like a month)... ...and the RD is the only person who can easily deal with a looping rod? Truly unwinnable.

Nah it's easy enough to stop you just need to put walls in its path then rebuild floors and pressurize And mime bro is just robust most scientists take an entire round to build a max cap let alone five in a couple minutes

@@user-xh1rx3sd4h Unless things changed, rods destroy all walls. So a looping rod used to just make one line of the station permanently destroyed (and re-destroyed if repaired) until the RD stopped it. So the best you could hope for was sealing up both sides of that line (possibly with some holofans letting people pass over the gap) and hope not too many O2 pipes were destroyed so that you can repressurize critical areas.

The item he is using requires a maxcap, which is basically two tanks filled with gas, if the valve of the maxcap is released the two gases mix causing a reaction, in this case throwing a projectile, however the mix of gasses he used is so powerfull the projectiles pierced the entire station and even looped back.

What was used was theoretically more powerful then a max cap. A type of bomb only used truly during the days of cuban Pete. Before it was nerfed to the maximum explosion effect being a maxcap

Some Z level sides (every level restricted to 250x250~ tiles) have a "loop", which leads to a same level. If you have one on Station level, event Rod or other projectiles will return from other side.

As a noob, could someone explain what happened to me? Couldn’t quite follow it well enough to stick

Basically he did a one hit kill bomb, fucked the station with the first, killed some secs with the second, and killed captain if the third. Emmaged/subverted AI, or one of his friends did, i don't know, but in the end of the day he just robusted security (even without one hit kill bomb) with axe and jetpack, greentext

The last time I was rd was when the cap and hos killed the ai for being an antag. Admins spawned in some centcom commanders and a lawyer. These guys messed up some of the heads jobs so we had a few cmo’s and hop’s. The lawyer kept trying to make me resign and also had some of the original heads demoted. I eventually left the server as it was like midnight for me and left my job as rd to a scientist
