Sri Lankan cricketers shared their common emotions with every daily common man that goes through life. In prison, hospitals, cemeteries, banks etc all had their ears to the radio. We played cricket with grace humble politness respect so Indian fans loved us every Indian girl loved every Sri Lanka cricketer. No Indian fan knew why we kept Sachin Tendulkar on the wicket without getting him out and kept him on strike putting him under pressure. We knew he loves hundreds and most times we won the match because he was man of the match. It was always bitter for him and his fans.😂😂😂❤😊

You are wrong...when Kaluwitharana dropped a catch or anyone off Murali bowling. Murali gives a staredown at the culprit. Then when he is within 30m fielding he would leathered the throw back to Kalu or someone that persons palm would be seared in hot redness. They would feel equal amount of pain of what Murali felt for dropping the catch. When they knew Murali was angry they were extra cautionary careful to receive the throw.😅😅😅. It happened to Kalu s early career. Then Kalu became Muralis trusted adviser. Such was Sri Lanka cricket greatness mutual humble respect for each other.

Like Tourism... Cricket is very important for Sri Lanka economically...If your team is playing good cricket top teams will invite you to play with them.. As an Indian i would support Sri Lanka in match against Aus or Eng... In that way you have more viewers and more revenue.. Murali totally jumbled up history here. It wasnt Ashokas son Vijaya that colonised SL. Vijaya lived about 400+ years before Ashoka in modern day western bengal coast. He is who established Sinhalese civilisation in SL ~2900 years ago. And Sinhalese is a direct descendant of Magadhi prakrit from that time as evidence from 600BC pottery inscriptions in Brahmi. Ashoka's son Mahindra and daughter Sanghamitra is who brough buddhism to Sri Lanka. Murali is a cricketer not a historian.

King Ashokas son was a Buddhist Arahath Monk Mihindu, who brought Buddhism to Sri Lanka. Vijaya is the first person to colonized Sri Lanka from India.

Sri Lankan history was fabricated by the British, according to Sir William Jones the history was written. Greatest Indian Historian Bashm says that he cannot find any sources of King Ashok ruling Bharath hence Indian history is a jigshow puzzle. Murali is not wrong he says what the Britsh has imparted to him.....the difference between knowledge and wisdom is huge my friend...

SL had a civilization even before King Vijaya established himself in SL. It is called the "Hela civilization" which dates back to 5000 years ago. King Ravana is the founder of this civilization. Real history of SL is hidden from the entire world due to some reason. Since the truth cannot be hidden like moon and sun, real truth will emerge sooner. Seems like great Murali has some issues with SL history.

There is ZERO archaeological evidence for this nonsense. The oldest archaeological evidence is from Anuradhapura which dates to 950BC. Dr R.A.E Coningham of Durham university is actively doing studies in this area. This guy is the Sri Lankan equivalent of flat earth believers.

We sinhalese are mix of people of several migrations happened from different regions for different periods of history..seems like this vijaya story has became popular within indians about sinhalese.. but those early migrations happened from west of india areas modern day pakistan and iran mostly scythians, pathians, indo greek migrants these people+indigenious population sinhalese identity emerged in 1 B.C with intergration of these people....but these culture was indianized with later indian migrations happened from west cost, majority came and assimilated to sinhalese from kerala after 13,14 century

OH good god !! Wijaya was not Emperor Ashok's son; that distinction belongs to Mihidu Tero. While Wijaya is often credited with the inception of civilization (though we had a thriving civilization prior), it was Mihidu who introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka.
