I worked with a sub-contractor that had a Squirrel he saved as a baby. He was a metal gate contractor and the Squirrel named "Nutley" would always ride in his top pocket while he was working, run around his shoulders but never left his dad. Those two were inseparable. Nutley lived a full life and all of us builders always liked seeing him when we had a chance.

Very understandable why Tintin doesn't want to leave; he's got shelter, family, food he doesn't have to look too hard for and most importantly safety. He's happy being safe as a house squirrel who goes outside with the safety of his human dad. That squirrel is easily going to live to the max life span as long as he doesn't get a life threatening illness.

It was actually quite difficult for the owner to keep him as the laws were/are that Squirrels arent pets and he had to jump through some hoops to get legal permission to keep TinTin.

My Lindsey is the same way. She also fell from a very high location onto concrete. She was battered and was so close to death. Next morning, she peaked out and showed she was going to make it. Now she's a member of the family. Squirrels aren't pets. They're not meant to live in cages. Please, if you find a baby squirrel or animal, unless you're a trained wildlife rehabilitator, do the right thing. Try and reunite the animal with its family. If it's rejected, call the local DNR and wildlife center. Wild animals require special care.

I know most people watched this years ago , but I'm glad I found it now. I have Medullary Sponge Kidney and can't get out very often. TinTin, you touched my heart. You see, I feel and see things most people don't and this sweet man that picked you up needed YOU as much as you needed him. Lovingly, God intentionally puts someone or something right in our face, so it won't be missed. Sometimes to test you and sometimes to comfort you. This, my friend, was a combination of both. . I hope we can see more of where this little miracle took YOU. I hope you took in EVERY moment TinTin shared. Friendship is absolutely remarkable😬.

Squirrels are as loyal as dogs once they become pets. They never leave as long as ur alive /versa. Even if u put it outside. I found a baby. It died by accident but for a long time. It lived in my home .just like the video. That one he has is extra cool looking with those ears and color

You and your cat are heroes..The tiny harness is so cute.

I had the privilege of saving a baby squirrel a couple years ago. He fell about 30 feet onto my wooden deck. I almost stepped on him before I noticed him. I looked back on my cameras and here fell down and hit that deck so hard and fast it made me nauseous. He didn’t even have hair yet and was shaking and soaked because it just rained. I fed him esbilac puppy formula. I named him buddy, he was the coolest. After a while I let him go. I still miss him. He’s actually in my profile picture, hanging off my back pocket.

When I was in school a squirrel would come up to the window. So one day I started leaving some nuts, before long he was coming into my dorm room and hanging out. Fast forward to the end of the year and I left a note for the next people to get the room with my name and letting them know about the squirrel. Sure enough second day of the next year I get a call, go over and there he is. Lasted for another year, but I graduated. I would like to think the tradition got passed on after I left. Would be nice if we could be a little more in harmony with nature.

Aww... three days ago I saved a squirrel who fell from a huge tree. She bled and her legs were hurt. I took care of her and 3 days later she is still sick. I want to care for her and realease her. Watching this makes me think my dream would come true. My dream was to have a pet. I wish Echo becomes better soon.

I had a raccoon, Inky, who would turn on the bathtub faucet at 3 in the morning. Trust me, when she was on my shoulder walking down the alley, NO ONE came near me. Little did they know she was more afraid of them than vice versa. This man deserves a big heart from me.

I love squirrels and this story is really heartwarming. Thank you for saving this squirrels life even tho chances for its survival were little. Look how happy it is being part of your life. Kudos also to the cat mom, she did a great job, was so chilled and very gentle. Most cats I've seen in my life were trying to catch squirrels but luckily squirrels are faster once back on the tree ;-P

There's lots of good people. But way too often, people with a pesimistic attitude tends to judge humanity by their worst behaviour or by their worst fellow human examples. And those same people also tend to judge animals by their best behaviour "the shark that bites off someones leg is only doing what it's supposed to"-kind of attitude. But they don't say that to defend some dispicable human cutting off shark fins for a living. I would say humanity is predominantly and inherently good for the most part, with some in between and also a few rotten cases.

You cannot put people into categories like that...this one is a baddy, this one is a good one....that's too simple and only applies to very few cases. Most people are a bit of everyrthing depending on the day and case. The same guy who resuces squirrels might hate black people. Or the one who works in a welfare center might have killed his cats. Just extreme examples.

I heard that nursing females can go through a phase where they have very strong instincts to protect and mother their babies. That’s probably why we always hear stories of cats taking care of puppies and vice versa. Either way it’s incredibly sweet!!!

Exactly what I thought... Everyone forgot to mention the awesome cat that didn't kill his natural prey and even lets him lay on his back. Granted, the squirrel is hella cute with all his affection, but none of this would be possible without that really chill cat ✌🏻

I just did a little Google dive on squirrel life expectancy, and this little bundle of love could very well live into his teens (and a few even reach 20, apparently). How many ever years this little trooper has, I hope they are filled with nothing but freedom, joy and fun - and judging by proud papa I can rest assured that little fluff-ball will live an AMAZING life! In the wild, these squirrels live about 3-4 years. I read that they live in captivity above 15. So that's right.

He doesn't look like an ordinary squirrel, he's beautiful! The hair on the tip of his ears makes him unique. And the color of his fur is different as well. Squirrel is one of the most underestimated mammals.. Has a big IQ as wel as EQ, and thats something you only find in dogs, horses, and some other animals. SQUIRRELS ROCK🤘

Just take a look at feral cats, they often form small communities, and while they can be territorial, all animals are to different degrees. Dogs certainly show their affection more openly and more often than cats, but thats because they are generally more high key by nature, cats are like that introvert friend, they like to hang out but dont want to be smothered with social interaction.
