huh? Stockfish 15 browser sees +5 instantly on Qg6, hence it's called a blunder by the game analysis (depth 14) also, I have seen moves that the engine doesn't realize are best until depth 30, but I am definitely not better than Danya.

Not only 2000+ rated, I checked his profile and he has earned the NM title
Besides sacrificing The Rook I feel like this is the ultimate demonstration of why the bishop pair is so dominant in an open end game. Despite the king being very vulnerable in the corner the Bishops were able to cover back rank multiple times while still fulfilling other jobs.
Other chess streamers: OMG look at this crazy line!!!!11!! Me: *sleeps* Danya: I have a crazy line that just might work, or maybe not. Me: HOLY HELL LET'S GOOOOOOO No really, only Danya's hype about something is believable to me.

The most incredible combo in the history of this channel. The truly amazing aspect is the coincidence of the two bishops guarding the f1/c1 back rank! A beauty!

yes the combo is incredible, but I don't think it's the most incredible in the history of this channel, Danya finds insane tactics all the time, though this one is def special

The longer videos are great, and I hope you do a series at this higher level as you're able to demonstrate positional play in ways that are relevant to all levels and providing information about how to play in new openings that really isnt available otherwise. Loving the content!
Not boring at all - wonderful to hear GM Danya’s thought process and recommendations of other games and books and articles along the way.🙏
god that rook sac is one of those sweaty palm tactics you play with 80% confidence in low time and are just the highest highs in rapid for me, great game danya

Incredibly impressive move combination at the end there!! Great explanation throughout these vids as well, love your work!
Hope this series goes on for a little longer because opponents put up real resistance now at that level and have to be outplayed.
This is the best speed run video yet and one of the best chess videos I have watched. So many pretty moments over the board and in analysis. Thank you for the great content as always!
it is incredible to see how fast Danya came up with the move! GMs are on another level
man this is amazing, i love the games where we get into theory discussion afterwards- my favorite part almost always

You know what’s cool is that Danya was probably gonna lose this game but his instincts told him that keeping his bishop pair was paramount. Then out of nowhere they became his MVP’s. The way they ended up defending any back rank plans was slick af.
this is priceless material hearing your train of thought as you're playing. Incredible. thank you!
I was thinking this was the best speed run episode I’ve seen out of all of them, and THEN YOU DROP THE SAC! Crazy danya, best game youve played hands down
What a game! Best of the speedrun. Appreciate your analysis as always
Thank you for this really instructional game! This is actually how I meet the Smith Morra to try to get White out of SM theory and go for an IQP structure. Most people at my level play cxd5 and then Nc3 or Bc4. I have good results against the alapin but never have had such a complicated IQP battle so it's nice to see how you handle the IQP and the bishop pair
Love when he gets the books out!! Thanks so much GMDanya
What a great game and what a great defense by his opponent. Good stuff all around.
incredibly impressive, learning more every speedrun episode!
WOW WHAT A COMBO. absolutely inspired. great content !
This is absolutely among the best episodes I've seen and I've seen the vast majority of these.
Beautiful! It's also great that you teach people to study their games. If I would study my games this much, I would certainly improve a lot.
love to see a new master class by you sensie!
Just wanted to say thank you daniel naroditsky sir. I was able to win my first chess tournament because of your teachings. Thank u so much sir. U are the best
What a treat. An hour long of free chess class by a GM, clearly demonstrating his thought process, his proposed lines, his ideas, and the final execution. Hands down Danya's the best chess teacher online. I wish they can just dock 400 rating pts from him so we can watch him play these 2200s over and over again. Restarting the speed run with him playing the 12, 1300 doesn't really help because those guys blunder too much. And kudos to this opponent ... it came down to a small difference between that black rook on the C file vs D file that ultimately made Danya's tactic worked to a charm. But also kudos to the bishop G5 idea. That was a great move. And yes, not a single second spent on the engine that tells you the answer rather than making you learn to critically analyze your game.
This was my favorite Speed-run game! It was great to see David tested and explain everything along the way and of course the ending was quite nice. Love the 15 minute TC too.
Glorious tactic in the end, so impressive. Thanks Danya
amazing video, thank you so much

wow i think this was the best game of the speedrun, and there have been some amazing games
My favorite game of the speedrun! Sick move Danya =)
Oh My Days that final combo was incredible!
very interesting, thanks
That was an incredible game. Props to your opponent he played very well
The opponent played so well! Amazing game!!
Its worth pointing out again and again. The way you reason through and explaining your thoughtprocess as such an asset, when learning more about chess. And more imitaions please, thats another more hidden talent 🙂
Damn what a game, and brilliant analysis
This series is amazing
Great to watch, amazing climax
i was following with an engine (on lichess), right around when danya was thinking about the rook sac, (minute 28.10 ish) the engine said the position was -0.9. i thought (since i read the title i knew danya won) this is a cool idea but danya blundered something surely, or the engine wouldnt say its a -0.9 if he didnt blunder something. After a moment when i played the rook sacrifice danya played, the eval bar went up the roof to +6. Even the engine didnt comprehend how strong the sacrifice danya made at first!!! What a strong attacker danya is just shocking
This was the best example of a wining tactic coming “out of nowhere” I’ve ever seen. Black played an amazing game with no clear mistakes but then suddenly, as if chess was a solved game, it simply turns out all of danya’s pieces were in the exact squares they needed to be, not only forming a mate threat but defending against all counterplay. It turns out Black lost the moment he sat down to play danya. Amazing
That ending combination was insane. And for it to happen all in the endgame?? Crazy!
so well articulated
We love analyzing these positions. It's so educational, and applies to lower level games as well.
Crazy game, very interesting
Holy crap that tactic was beautiful!
And that is how ladies and gentlemen, Chess is a beautiful game....the geometry of pieces, wow.
A game worthy of the throwback ohmylands speedrun series name. Bravo 👏
Love the videos. I know you're already doing a lot to put out these videos, and I appreciate it, but just as a suggestion, I was wondering if you might consider putting the PGN or link to the game in the description? Would make it easier for viewers to analyze lines that they saw during the game. If not, no worries, appreciate the content.
That endgame sequence was a work of art.
😮 Amazing!!!
Hey Danya! That mate pattern is called Karpov Choke :) - learned that at Zibbit chess channel - Zibbit also loves the "sitting duck" term :)
insane
Great Game!
cant believe i actually saw the entire line all the way to Bh4 before danya played the sequence. i love chess
Best game of the speed run! That was like watching Anderson Silva in his prime lose for 4.5 rounds and finding a way to win in the crunch. Amazing
Incredible rook sack with the 2 white bishops dominating the rooks, preventing back rank mate OOoofff
Amazing tactic there. Thats bishops value there.
speed fall: give me control of the sensei danya account and watch me destroy its rating. its a comedic tragedy.
knight c3 at 3:17 response is k(b2) to d5 which forces the engagment of the knight or alternatively p(a7) to A6 to force the early engagement or withdrawl of the treatening bishop, 10:10 game ends as well had black gone bishop f6 and then taken pawn and trades
great game!
wow what a finish !!!
Oh my lands that was great
that was such a cool game
This was beautiful. I thought any morra declined game would become boring, that was amazing
What an amazing game!!!!
My God... What a game.
what a game!
Amazing ending, WOW
awesome
God that ending was incredible.
I actually spottet the full combination when Danya did. I dont think it's that hard to see when you realized that the White Bishop takes away the G8 escape square basically permanently an that Black has nothing to block the h-file with. Don't think it's a super hard combination to find but that doesn't make it any less beautiful and nice to have.
Wow that ending was crazy
What an ending!
Since the speedrun ending soon does this mean you are going to continue with the opening lab?
Bro u are awesome
If you ever needed a demonstration of why the bishop pair can be powerful... that was a clinical finish.
