It pulses like the tide at first, the waves getting more daring as the sounds build up to fall away, lapping at your ears and shrinking back into the sonic sea. Then it finally comes flooding in to carry you off, adrift upon the bassline as the rays of a xylophone sun warm your mind. Man I love this track.

The entire 90's idm era was really special, the likes of which we haven't really seen since. For me this is one of tom's crown jewels in his massive discography and sadly he hasn't made tracks this deep or heartfelt since ultravisitor, damm that was 20 years ago......

So I dont know if anyone from Warp actually reads these comments, but a long time ago i purchased "Big Loada" completely new from Virgin Records, the packaging, even the cd cover said and was Big Loada, but when i put the disc in it was Budakhan Mindphone. While not displeased, ive always been baffled at how this could have happened, and if I have the only Big Loada disc that is actually Budakhan

My theory is that they were printing/burning off batches for several different releases one after the other in alphabetical order and the count/disc was off i.e. they load up all the CDs with the artwork done and everything for each album and burn to them several releases in a row, but an extra CD or two made it in, so when it queued up the next album to burn, it was still burning onto CDs for the previous album

Walt Kovacs I do not doubt that at all, especially after songs such as this one! By the way, do you have some small recommendations regarding his songs? I have listened to some more of his stuff, but I'm still kind of new and not really sure where to actually 'start', so to speak, just randomly picking songs I find and the like. Hope I'm not bothering you with this comment or anything!

  • @theconfessor3177

you're definitely not bothering me man. i freaking love music, and Squarepusher is one of my favorite artists. My fave from him are : Theme from Ernest Borgnine, Beep Street, this one, Iambic 9 poetry, Tundra (lush, lush, lush)... there are a lot of amazing tracks but these are my personal faves. pure bliss. you could also check my channel, there are quite similar artists. i don't know what you're listening to though

Walt Kovacs I'm glad to know that I'm not a bother haha! Thank you for the recommendations (and fast reply!), I'm definitely going to check these out (and also gonna take a look around your channel). As for what I usually listen to: I don't have a specific taste, I listen to pretty much anything I find - partially due to the fact that that I research music for some personal work, partially because I'd easily get somewhat bored If I would listen to the same stuff all the time, and also because I simply enjoy doing that (finding new stuff and all that). In other words: I listen to anything, really, as cliche as it may sound. Also, sorry for turning this into a wall of text, it's kind of a unfortunate habit of mine.
