Yo! There are a few really easy ways to get to some of the spots that you were using that I'm not sure you are aware of. Namely regarding various rocks in the first point area. Also, there are a bunch of useful spots that you didn't point out that most wouldn't think of but are absolutely perfect for avoiding Pyros, and regaining cloak with C&D. Maybe I can show you sometime? I've been playing Spy since 2007. My Spy name is Orca. :)

A lot of these work surprisingly well as medic too! People don’t really seem to ever notice out-of-place medics. Keep that in mind, all you battle medic mains

It's incredible the amount of attention mappers have to give to things for Spy, Engineer, and Sniper, as they often require certain things to be around; Spy requires decloaking and observing spots, Engineer needs places to put his buildings, and Sniper may need advantage points in certain areas. All this is accomplished while also keeping the flow of the map, it must be very tricky to pull off, but it makes all the difference in gameplay. Another thing, payload maps are great for Spy. On defense, the attacking team is often focused on destroying sentries and keeping the payload clear, making it easy to get a chainstab going near the payload. On attacking, the flank routes make it easier to get in, make a couple key picks, and get out before anyone really realized you were there. If anyone happens to be reading this, take the second part into consideration the next time you play a payload map if you've never thought about them before, it might help you do better as Spy, or do better against Spy, your choice!

Hey there, for the rail-platform jump near the third cp you can do a perfectly timed bhop to get on the platform, it's really tricky and need a lot of practice but it's really useful!

I think you can just circle jump without the bhop

Hey Mr paladin the jump on 9:34 can be made either by the speed boost of big earner and the speed boost of dead ringer

This is how thought out the map design of Badwater is. It’s probably why it passed the test of time alongside with Upward.

6:43 Im gonna be honest, I found it more shocking that these even existed then the fact they had physics, I genuinely have never seen these pipes, that or they're just incredibly forgettable

Thanks for everything MrP. The very man who taught me playing spy wasn’t all about cool trickstabs, how to decloak, and also how cute ferrets are. My freshman year just ended but you and many other youtubers keep inspiring me to take some time off to hop on a stalemate upward server or a chaotic 2Fort server to conga. Since I’ll be getting a job this summer I won’t have much time to play anymore but... TF2 has brought me years of joy ever since I started back in middle school. You’re one of the people who just kept that fire burning. Thanks again. Also, a new CTF map tutorial maybe? The other ones are quite “old” and I bet a lot of people would love to see some 2Fort spy :D

It would be great to see this theory combined with moments from the actual game, where you use these spots in action. :)

Great tips, I'm going to try it... Connected to the server... 10 sniper bots spinning around the respawn exit... Oh...

There's also a glitchy spot at first Blu spawn at the fence area, if you wiggle with a and d while up against the wall, then jump while still pressing into the wall you can glitch onto one of those slanted podium things by the fence. I found it helps to look up while doing it.

lol, i always look up the stairs bc many classes use them, heavy on top, pyro on top, demo, solly. I also saw a lot of ppl checking it when i was waiting for someone to go up, thats why i stopped using them and started going to the back of the highground especially as solly, cause once in the open i can rocket jump to highground when they all looking to all eyes are looking at the staircase or 2nd cp

4:25 you jump on those columns on the left side but it's bit tricky 9:35 you can make the jump with dead ringer or big earner speed boost

You can also pixelwalk the "pillars" on the wall and stand far above blu spawn. Or hide in the bush stabby use

9:30 i know its a year late but i found if you get the speedboost from the deadringer you can make the jump with a crouchjump reliably. Without it i dont think you can make it unless its Unit perfect jumping. But ive used the deadringers ability plenty to make that jump and get a nice chain going to get the cart moving again.

The jump from the rail to the platform on 3rd point is doable with a triggered dead ringer

you can make the jump from the spy highway to the little ledge up there if dead ringer has just been popped

Jump to C is possible with strafing I believe.

Box taunting is the best spy strat to flank the enemy

9:40 i think you can make that jump if you get a speed boost from the Big earner or the Dead ringer, never tested it though :p

9:45 i can only make it if i get a good b-hop or if i use my ringer

MrP please now make a medic guide too, because the last time you made the upward guide, Soo many spies were playing and no one was even good and we couldnt get past the second point because no one was willing to go powerclasses and take out the nests.Thanks

Hi, I need your advise: In one server an enginier used some sort of anti-spy cheet and constantly killed me and was able to destroy my sapper without even being close to the sentry and was always able to see throu my disguise. He was able to one shot me with a jagger even tho I was full health with the big earner. when I play engi, it takes me at least 11 hits to kill a weeb spy. How can I fight against it if I stumble across one like that again?

You do realize people are going to use this to make a spy's life harder, but you already know that XD

Hey mr.paladin theres this thing called pixelwalking in tf2 this is possible thanls to sketchek you should hes how to pixelwalk video maybe you could use this as an advantage i dont know any of this type of stuff in badwater or in any other map because i have tried it but you should still give it try :D

This is a great video but if only I can play without having server lag by bots

I get that every youtube spy is ceremonially accused of only playing with the casualest of casuals, but... in his experience, nobody looks up when they leave the tunnel, and nobody looks up when they go up the stairs to the roof. Wooooooooooooooooooow.

"Competitive spy footage" is...hard to make due to how stale the competitive meta is. Aside from extreme communication and knowledge, the current meta lineup Scout/Scout/Soldier/Soldier/Medic/Demo makes it impossible to be convincingly disguised as...anyone. Like literally you can't disguise because they bust you on sight. There's good reasons why Spy is considered the worst class in competitive TF2, and all these reasons are not relative to the class itself.
