Spy's Eye View with Jonna Mendez

Who needs a cloak of invisibility when you have a wizard of disguise by your side? When spies need to go undercover, evade enemy surveillance, or slip by without anyone noticing, they depend on the expertise of a Tech Ops officer who specializes in the art of disguise. In this KidSpy webinar, Jonna Mendez, former CIA Chief of Disguise, joins in conversation with the Museum’s educators as she reveals some of her techniques and spine-tingling missions.
Jonna Mendez is a former Central Intelligence Agency Chief of Disguise. Her 27-year career, for which she earned the CIA’s Intelligence Commendation Medal, included operational disguise responsibilities in the most hostile theaters of the Cold War, from Havana to Beijing to Moscow and ultimately into the Oval Office. She is currently an author, lecturer, teacher and consultant on intelligence matters. She has co-written several books with her husband Antonio Mendez, including Spy Dust: A True Story of Espionage and Romance, Argo and, most recently, The Moscow Rules.
