What you fail to realize is that the button placement on the spurs make the difference . To where you spurs will ride up onto the shaft of your boot. You have two styles of buttons on those spurs. One the button is attached on the spur band horizontal to the shank and the other the buttons are attached higher up than the spur band. That's what makes the spur set on your boots. Jwp does have a bad design in all. The further up on the spur band that your button are place the more leverage on your spur straps the better your spur sit on your boots .

The shank depends more on were u hold ur legs. yes if u have long lags u need a longer shank, but if u ride a wide bar tree, and ur feet are propped out from ur horses ur going to need a longer shank. if ur feet ride next to ur horses, ur good with short shanks.

Yes sir. I’ve been wearing them for 20yrs. Started when I was a hotshot wearing their fire boots. Great boots! Merry Christmas.

Had a guy make them. But he’s out of business and running from the fbi now😂😂 but he did a good job.
