When I grow up I want to build sprinkler systems
I appreciate this video about doing a professional installation this has been one of my specialties since I was 5 years old thank you very much 😁😁😁👍👍
Big fan of sprinkler warehouse
"See you later. Irrigator, " LOL Love it! ;)
I'd be interested in a video that shows how to add or remove a zone from an existing system.
Great video
Please add a list with all the components you have used, with links for each one on your site.
What about to use a simple check valve to prevent backflow.
Awesome! How many sprinklers do you usually connect to each valve?
@SprinklerWarehouse
2 жыл бұрын
Hello, this will be determine based on the GPM and your flow rate.
Overkill system for a tiny little space front yard of that house.
One thing I hate so much is valves being in small boxes like that. Bigger the box the more room you have to work.

You can take out the box if you need to! I did.
Cool
How you get the schematic for knowing where and how to place sprinkler heads?
@sam999ber
Жыл бұрын
Do your spacing according to spray pattern and sprinkler type... Such as rotors, pop up sprays , pop up rotary nozzles, drip etc... after getting your calculation on gpm and psi you will know your demand and supply of water capacity and take in consideration size and type of city main and population, also water demand and time of usage good luck, or call an irrigator
awesome advice...i envy you rock-less aristocrats
And then the guy doesnt twist pipe at all when pushing pipe into bell end. Or wipe off bead. Which is even more important at bell ends than fittings cause bell ends sometimes thinner.
You forgot the call 811 part for locates on any service lines such as gas or electric. Being in the sewer and water business I've seen lines as shallow as 2 feet... Sure would suck to hit a line and possibly lose a life!

Not to mention an extreme liability of cost if you hit them, especially a fiber optic cable..

Or a 2 ot aluminum cable 😜🚡. I can see it now they'll hit the 🪨 and use the rock bar or ditch witch and BAM. Closed casket.
Why use pvc instead of poly line for the zones? It’s much easier
@bwtjma183
2 жыл бұрын
Poly is sh*t in general and definitely not rated for the pressures of a lawn sprinkler system. It’s definitely possible but a complete waste of time, you’ll be fixing split lines ALL THE TIME
@ryanhesch572
Жыл бұрын
@@bwtjma183 In Minnesota we use it because it can handle the water pressure just fine but also it backs blowouts much easier as it doesn't break once water freezes.
@brendancameron6062

@@bwtjma183 I’d have to disagree as here in north Idaho I have done both pvc and poly and if done correctly poly is much more easier and more efficient to install, and no trenching! You can pull that shi with a machine making it so much quicker

@@brendancameron6062 oh man, I wish I had a trenching machine with the pipe install attachment! But are you referring to the Netafim? If so, I agree way better than a pvc system
Uuuggh. Dont twist the fitting back and forth like that when "gluing". Just 90 degrees in one direction. And wipe the excess glue bead or clean off with primer.
This is real
Why don’t you use black poly pipe
@Tex200950

Or PEX PIPE !!!!!!!!
Question I have 100 psi for my water. How many rainbird 42SA+ head can I installed on a single line?
@SprinklerWarehouse
2 жыл бұрын
Hello, you will need to determine your GPM and use that information to help assist with the amount sprinklers to put on a zone. school.sprinklerwarehouse.com/videos/determining-gpm/
@sam999ber
Жыл бұрын
Psi can be a very bad thing and also know the difference between psi and flow you need to know both in order to design properly, may need a pressure reducer or regulator
Please if you do your own system use poly pipe, so much easier and efficient to install
@sam999ber
Жыл бұрын
More friction which can lead to psi loss and depending on your design it could not work properly

why not put the electronics near the power source?
Must be hard to mow with them in the yard, I would have put them more in the flowerbeds. Just saying. WoW somebody who knows what they are doing. Mine system is having issues. The company I hired and Paid $500 to get the system working, got rid of 2 zones and now I have too many heads in a zone of 4. (Went from 6 to 4). NOW there is not enough pressure once I adjusted the heads to do what I needed them to do. SO too many heads to a zone. So I am screwed.
One head to cover the flowerbed and one for the grass and flower bed? So flower bed is getting twice the water coverage? And if you need 20 mins on your lawn because it does not retain water as well as your flower bed your going to flood your flower bed. So you say you can split programs which gives the option to only water your flower beds? Ok, that helps if there are water restrictions or you have plants with a high water requirement. But everytime you water your turf you will be watering your flower bed and that is not hydro zoning effectively.. I get sometimes you have to do what you have to do but it looks like 4 inch popups spaced at 15sst would have contained the water behind that tree for that small patch.
Electri pup
This video shows you how not too work smarter but rather harder funny pipe is a much better way instead of pvc pipe and save yourself a back ache and rent a trenching machine to pull the pipe much less invasive on the lawn and less hand digging
