You really need to use a phosphor bronze bore brush to get the carbon and powder residue out of the lands and grooves in the rifling. That shits corrosive and eventually it’s gonna start pitting your barrel. I mean it’s your gun, you can do what you want but they make those brushes for a reason.

Can you get clp in the area youre not supposed to oil?
