I use to love to play junes journey But every since they basically made it pay to play it’s gone veer downhill.

I recommend folks try some gardening. Even if all you have is a balcony or a windowsill, you can grow something! It's so fun to watch plants grow from seed. This is the time of year when a lot of spring flowers and vegetables are sown, so it's the best time to start. You don't need any fancy supplies, just a pot, some compost and some seeds. It's so rewarding to grow your own flowers and gardening is a great mood booster!

People sleep on Winnie the Pooh (books and animated media) for the cottagecore energy, especially in springtime when everything is bright and cheerful. The books are so cozy, and Disney's watercolor style for the Hundred Acre Wood feels so soft and inviting. Highly highly recommend!

My favorite movie series to watch during spring is the 1985 adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. I grew up watching that with my mom and sisters and will always be the best, my most favorite adaptation of AOGGs ever! I highly recommend if no one has seen it.🙌🌷📖

The Secret Garden is my ultimate spring book and movie (the one with Maggie Smith). It's definitely on my list for this spring. A good mix of childhood nostalgia and celebrating the joys of nature.

HARD agree!!!! I think the book encapsulates spring down to its DNA-- it all feels like atrophied muscles laboring back to life. The characters come alive as the world around them does, and their strength honestly inspires me to this day. I kind of love this novel more and more as time passes

i used to be so anxious about the passing of time and arrival of new years and seasons because I feel like I'm running out of time and my youth (early 20s lmao) But your videos on romanticizing the seasons helped me so much to look forward to this every year and just bask in the moment. Living life attuned to the seasons is really how it is supposed to be. To not let it pass by but enjoy every moment of it.

I'm not big into romcoms, but one of my favorites is Leap Year, it's about a woman who, based on a Celtic tradition where a woman can propose to a man on leap year, travels to Ireland to surprise her boyfriend. She ends up arriving in a small town and having to get a ride with a surly Irishman. It's really funny and it has beautiful scenery of the Irish countryside, they visit a small farm and some castle ruins.

Oh my goodness! Pushing Daisies is INCREDIBLE! It was/is my absolute favorite and watched every episode in real time way back when it aired! The storyline with Ned and Chuck… the chemistry between all the characters… the art direction and every small detail… it is all just delicious! So the epic Jim Dale (who narrated all of the Harry Potter audiobooks) is the magical narrator in the show! His voice just warms my heart to no end! So wonderful to hear this show was on your list. Hope you enjoy every second of every episode!

Another fun spring idea is to attach a clear bird feeder to a window. Birds just fly right up to you window and chow down. It's pure spring magic. ✨️

To get into the spring energy, I’ve been buying flower bouquets and drying them on my walls as decor. I’m 19, and still live with my parents so my room is pretty small, but seeing the dried flowers, or my fresh vase bouquet makes me so happy and feels like I’m surrounded by a fairy garden! I also recommend painting with watercolor; it’s to refreshing and delicate like the flowers. If you aren’t super artsy, try painting five petals to create an overall flower in spring pastels - it’ll lighten your mood! Desi, as always, thank you for your inspiration and positive fairy vibes! A great movie to watch in springtime is This Beautiful Fantastic! Such a sweet, wholesome movie with lots of beautiful garden scenes. It’s about an aspiring writer who works at a library and is scared of going outside. Then she meets her crotchety old neighbor who teaches her how to garden and ultimately helps her unlock her imagination. It used to be on Amazon prime but I’m not sure if it still is. Thank you so much Desi for another lovely video! So excited to make my spring bucket list for this season 💖🌸💐

I totally agree!! I also love revisiting the book Entwined by Heather Dixon Wallwork during spring. It’s a retelling of the twelve dancing princesses and is just so enchanting and fun and wholesome, one of my favorite comfort reads. I feel like you would really enjoy it (if you haven’t read it already!) 💕

Oh my gosh! The Wind in the Willows is one of my favorite childhood books and my mother read it to me at night, too. Beautiful book, beautiful memory.

I am BEGGING, on hands and knees for everyone here to watch "The Artful Dodger"!!! I finished it over a month ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. We need to give this show more hype so that it gets renewed for a second season. It's so so wonderful, please everyone go and watch it!!

I had a very Desi Inspired day today. I walked slowly under the blooming flower trees while the morning shadows were still quite long and everything was still glowing gold. I opened my windows and watched my lace curtains blow gently in the breeze. I enjoyed sipping my favorite tea from my favorite pink floral teacup and listening to soft instrumental music while I made a peach pie (it's Pi Day today). Then I went to the library for new spring themed reads, which I carried home in my little wicker basket but I had to stop and pick a little bundle of flowers for my dining table.

I'm a Fall/Winter girlie and I tend to get depressed when Spring comes around (mostly because of the state I live in, I'm very landlocked) so you were just the Spring Fairy I needed to come into my life and show me how I can find joy in this season. You are such an inspiration! 🌻😻😻

Still battling my health over here but slowly adding things that make me smile into my life. It was recently mothers day here in the uk and my son got me miniatures and Japanese snacks that was so heart warming. In my bedroom I added panels of floral wallpaper to my wardrobe doors, added window film that creates rainbows when the sun hits it and added some faux flowers to my shelf. And i bought irradescant butterflies for my wall and a wall hanging so that more things can catch the lights and create rainbows

Id really recommended The House Witch series. It's a fantasy about a witch who goes to work as a royal cook in a castle cause his powers are all to do with making sure the home is safe and cosy. And he has a cat familiar called Kraken. I've just finished book 2 and it's so good!

The books I know that you would adore are by Elizabeth Peters. They are her Amelia Peabody series of 20 books which involve Egyptology in the early era of archaeology. They have romance, adventure and there is always a murder mystery to be solved. Delightful characters and a wonderful heroine at the center.

The first crocuses and daffodils bloomed in my new yard of my new house this week! I'm so so so overjoyed by the beauty!

One thing that I love to do every spring as a big fan of LM Montgomery's writing is to read a book of hers that I haven't yet read! I've read all of the Anne of Green Gables books countless times, but there are so many other books of hers that are just as amazing! My recommendation for anyone who has only read the Anne books would be to read the Emily of New Moon books next, or Jane of Lantern Hill, which has the most beautiful descriptions of late spring and summer!

At the end of the vid you said that we can comment our recommendations so an activity I recommend is making a spring wreath on your front door, I make it every year using a wreath base made of wood twigs and add fake flowers and ribbons (or anything that feels right)!

Haha I start reading spring books mid winter so I can have some new recommendations for you guys! But I love it because it really gets me ready for spring! 💗

my very favorite days of spring are those when the enormous apple tree in our yard is in bloom. the smell is lovely, and i look forward to sitting under it drinking my tea and reading. it drapes down toward the ground making almost an igloo. i hope you will all have the opportunity to experience the same 😊

I recently re decorated my bedroom with a garden tea party/ Deloris Umbridge floral vibe and I found loads of pretty vintage paintings for my gallery wall. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find many smaller paintings though so I came up with an idea to use floral fabric I already had in my craft supplies (fabric from clothing I no longer wear) and frame it. Great filler in between the larger art work and it was basically free because I used fabric and frames I already owned. The random framed floral fabric gives off a Love Shack Fancy vibe.

I highly recommend Austenland for anyone who hasn't already seen it, it's one of my favourite movies and it's perfect for both spring and summer. It's funny and romantic and makes you just feel happy 🌷🍄

I love this show too. I’m a big Jane Austen fan but I love the fun quirkiness of this show! It’s so good and sweet! I first saw it in the theater and was laughing so often I missed half the show.

I'm reading a book called The Only Purple House in Town by Ann Aguirre and it's got really cozy vibes! Picture a quirky run down purple house a young woman has just inherited from her great aunt but she's broke and can't pay for all the renovation it needs. So to help pay for all the expenses to do it up, she rents out the rooms to people who are really in need of a room (like her own situation was before getting this house). They form a sweet found family full of misfits from different walks of life and work on the house together, cook meals and look out for each other. Oh and magic is real, so we also have some witches, shapeshifters and fae in the mix! It's a very sweet story - I think its set in autumn but I think it works well for spring too as its very cottage core.

Spring is a bit darker in Norway😉. Easter is crime time here. We read it and watch it, while eating oranges and drinking hot chocolate😊.

I grew up watching all creatures great and small, but the old version (bbc, with Christopher Timothy) and absolutely love it to this day!! I highly recommend! I haven’t gotten around to watch the newer version but I am planning to do so this spring!

Try ‘The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion.’ It’s such a journey. I want to dive into Emma’s sweet romantic Victorian world.

Adding Rosemary and Thyme as a cottagecore-esque show for anyone who likes British murder mysteries! They always have a gardening twist and aren't gory at all, I've found them free on KZread :)

I LOVE Edenbrooke, it is beautiful, one of my favorite books, I recommend another book by the same author "Blackmoore" very cute, romantic and sweet ❤❤❤❤

@@DarlingDesi I also recommend reading the Edenbrooke prequel, which tells Philip's story "Heir to Edenbrooke" and shows his first meeting with Marianne from her point of view. I love how their thoughts coincide and how he immediately falls in love with her... You have to read it! I think it only has about 60 pages ❤️🌸

I've been looking forward to this all day, I have my pens and stationary ready to make a spring bucket-list! Thank you for sharing your light🌻

Spring always feels like a new beginning for me, which is why I particularly enjoy reading books by Louise Hay at this time of year. I also enjoy listening to her affirmations on KZread - her voice is as warm as the first rays of sunshine in spring ❤️

Just wanted to let you know that your videos have helped me love books again. When I was a child, teen and young adult, books were my life and then one day they weren’t. I just wasn’t finding the love of them or the thrill of the immersive story they provided anymore. Then, after watching a few of your videos and seeing your enthusiasm about different novels, I decided to do a Spring/Summer reading challenge and made myself a goal of 50 books on Goodreads. I’m happy to report I just finished my second book and I’m getting ready to start my third. The Bridgerton series felt very springlike to me, so I decided to start there and it was a good choice. Forcing myself to slow down in the mornings and allow two hours to myself with a cup of coffee and a book has helped me so much, so thank you for the inspiration to pick up my books again after all these years.

At this point I'm convinced that Maggie Smith is my whole childhood in films. She's iconic!

I've never heard you mention the classic, Pollyanna. I think you would love it!!

I'm watching this for the second time and there's something I just noticed. I love your dog's first reaction to you introducing June's Journey 😂 He's just side-eyeing you like he's unsure whether you're talking to him or not 😂 so cute ❤️

A movie I always like to watch during spring is "Memoirs of a Geisha". The Japanese aesthetics are so beautiful but especially the scene where Sayuri walks through the cherry blossoms is peak spring movie to me 🌸

I JUST FINISHED READING COMPLETE TALES OF BEATRIX POTTER'S PETER RABBIT CONTAINS THE TALE OF PETER RABBIT, THE TALE OF BENJAMIN BUNNY, THE TALE OF MR. TOD, AND THE TALE OF THE FLOPSY BUNNIES! A VERY GOOD BOOK! I ENJOYED IT!

The other Bennett sister is one of my favourite P&P spin offs. Also ‘Lydia’ is pretty great. It tells the ‘off screen’ story of Lydia in Brighton. And ‘What Kitty did next’. All three made me so happy.

Yayyy! Been waiting for this my notes app is open on my phone at the ready to note all the Recs. You always look stunning but your look in the video is just incredible! From the up do, earrings, necklace and the dress just beautiful! Straight out of the regency era.

I'm really into I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, at the moment. I read it recently and am now listening to it on audiobook. The film is quite good too. My mum, sister and I have all read it and are obsessed! We call each other by the character's names and refer to it daily. I listen to the film soundtrack a lot too and feel like I'm just stuck in it's world! It had spring themes too. It is very English and has wonderful descriptions of the English countryside. I read it in nearly one day it is addictive and I know you'll love it so much.

Nationwide movie theaters are showing pride and prejudice in the month of April, it’s the version with Keira Knightley. I know how much you love it, and perhaps it would be a fun date night to celebrate spring.

One of my favorite things to do in the spring time is put my hammock up and read a book or listen to music, I also have a fountain and love to hear the flow of the water, I close my eyes and just take in the sounds of the outdoors 😊❤ I love your videos and always anxious to see what you do next, it’s very inspiring, you give me peace in my heart!! Darling Buds Of May was a series I watched every season a kid with my parents. An old British series on a country farm, where a city man visits with intent to get some overdue money (or something) and falls so in love that he quits to live there. It's just beautiful!

You HAVE to watch "This Beautiful Fantastic." Spring and garden vibes.

If you are looking for some good candles to get you in the spring mood, you should check out Goose Creek candles. They have so many good scents, including some from their new Peter Rabbit (Beatrix Potter) line. My daughters and I are obsessed with their candles! They smell so good!

Hi Desi! Happy spring time! =) Thank you so much for all the recommendations and tips. I've seen Pushing Daisies and it's very sweet. For a film I would recommend Calendar Girls with Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, and many others. For me it also has a spring vibe, but it is a drama, and is a bit sad, but it's also funny. Totally recommend if you haven't seen it. Can't wait for you next video, and thank you again! =)
