I would really like a flower tour. Most of the flowers I can identify but the ones I can't, either you don't mention or I'm distracted when you do 😂.

You and the epic channel are my favorites. I watch every day and I’m going to be so sad when I run out of content and have to wait for new videos! lol I have learned so much from you guys I appreciate you very much. I want to make garden content and teach people what I’ve learned.

@jacquesinthegarden if I could only get cucumbers to grow ill be happy. They are my kryptonite over here. Tomatoes fine... cucumbers hate it. Just gonna sow them week to week/ add different amendment and see if they ever take.

Kind of funny I feel like I needed a “spoiler alert” when I saw your California poppies. My sister sent me some for Christmas and I planted them and have been waiting to see what they look like in bloom. 😂 lovely 😊

Once I finally get my green house built (still in the box several years later...) I'm going to put my greenstack in there and fill it with strawberries thanks to watching you! I've got a small basket of them that I fight the squirrels for even though it's got netting and hung off the ground about 4 feet - I love fresh strawberries and didn't know what to do until I saw you had them in your green house after you got it. Love the garden tour - thanks for sharing!!

Your garden is amazing! Your coastal climate is a great place to grow so many things. I lived there for a short time, and seeing your Pride of Madera and your Foxtail Agave makes me miss my So Call garden. I'm in the Missouri Ozarks now, learning to garden in a new climate, and getting my garden established. So far, it's going great. Your videos are inspirational.

You are actually right next to one of the most amazing Native plant nurseries! I got a lot of plants when I was up there last year, they are called "Theodore Payne Foundation" and they have a fantastic selection.

I started sorrel in a pot 4 years ago and although I chop it back regularly it still grows like a weed. Great to add to salads, but I like to puree it with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper to make a nice sauce for fish. Like you I'm looking forward to one of the best garden years ever!

I loved the tour of your garden Jacques! You are very inspiring to fellow gardeners. Here in Plymouth, UK, we are a little behind you when it comes to planting veggies. My tomatoes have just started to produce their first flower stalks and my cucumbers have just produced their first true leaves. I have however, managed to harvest over 1Kg of spinach beets. I'll be picking my Field Beans at the end of the month. Manage Tout and Peas are growing well and should start to harvest them in about a weeks time. Thank you once again.

Sounds like you are well on the way to that summer harvest! 1kg harvest is great already! Are the field beans a dry bean? I have only heard of field peas before.

Your garden is blowing up. This year was not my year for flowers. All of the seeds that I planted none of them grew up. But I’ll keep trying everything else is blowing up though reminds me I need to do a tour as well. can’t wait to see the results later this year. Hope all is well. Take care.

I did Oaxacan Green corn last season. It turned out great. Nice for cornmeal / masa and decorations.

I absolutely love the garden tours. My tomato plants (started by me from seed) are looking so good this year. The stems are so thick and stout. We have those "fake" strawberry plants that grow here...they taste like straw. I dont think they are edible. 😅

Manzanita and Madrone are an excellent visual combination.

I love purple flowers in the garden😊. I want to try growing a jacaranda tree from seed since we dont have this tree available in garden centers but dont know if its worth it. Would be great to see if it will take before i order the seeds and try myself.

If you only have one or two vines you can mix 1 part milk to 4 parts water and spraying every couple weeks it will kill downy mildew

They are Blundstone! After buying cheaper plastic shoes that broke apart every year I went with these and they have held up very well for me.

Yep a California Native friend of mine taught me that. You can also make manzanita jelly from the blossoms. A lot like rose petal jelly:) add some jalapeños and spoon over cream cheese mmmmmm!

summer is here in Oklahoma

I actually planted 3 sisters this year, and I've gotta say, it really depends on the bean. I planted all my seeds at once (time constraints and all) and some of my beans are being far outpaced by my corn, and some of my beans i can tell are going to need poles until the corn can catch up. And maybe it's my zone or my varieties, but my winter squash are moving very slowly. Corn is outpacing them with no problem.

You can use copper fungicide its organic for mildew. It helps tremendously with it.

I have been growing them almost exclusively in containers so I am happy to see how massive they are in the beds.

You’re garden looks amazing. Love the huge plants. tried to grow kale. Bugs decimate it then it goes to seed. A lacy leaf variety is the only one of many that had survived. 😢 I also planted a whole ok of sweet peas. I got a couple scraggly vines that didn’t last very long. Not sure why.

Jacques, your garden is absolutely THRIVING! Everything looks so healthy. I also love your native garden, especially the one under the window. Manzanita is one of my favorite native plants, followed by Ceanothus. Which type of Ceanothus did you plant? The smell of the flowers is wonderful, and the bees love it. We have Hummingbird Sage, which will spread on its own, and the flower stalks are fantastic, however be prepared to stake them because they frequently are so heavy that they flop over.

Absolutely loving the native garden! Any plans on adding milkweed? I see you got a dog and he could potentially eat it. They do great in pots(that could be kept away if possible since they are poisonous to dogs)

With Dill you are totally good to just simply remove the leaf fronds as needed! Just try not to harvest over 50% of the plant and it should do great!

Hey Jacques. The garden looks amazing. How are you keeping squirrels, raccoons, skunks, etc out of your garden?

✋ Love your channel, love your videos. It would be really helpful if you gave watering tips while wandering through your beds - like what kind of drip, for how long do they run, why you choose these over others, how many gpm and for how long ... AND as a bonus, how do you control gophers for the in ground beds? Thanks Jacques .... PS - I know there are countless videos that are stand-alone watering tips but showing how choice in action is really so much more revealing ... like I was trying to figure out on the first shot - are those sq ft gardening drip lines? are they 1/2" that you poked holes in or were they pre-drip like 1/4" .... why no specific emmiters if it's converted 1/2" - you see, besides the glory of the summer plants, there's all these questions about how to get there ....again, thank you Jacques! 💝

I pretty much use three different "lines" 1/2" supply line with no holes, 1/2" line with built in and pre-spaced emitters, and 1/4" lines with built in and pre-spaced emitters.
