Great video. I do some small scale logging with a Wallenstine winch. Winches work great. I skid the logs as short a distance as I can because they get full of dirt which dulls the saw. Then I buck it up and put it in the trailer.

Boy, could you use some Prescribed Burning. You have Lots of small trees which will never amount to anything . Nice Video

I had a neighbor who used his front end loader to dislodge a windfall and it snapped up high and hit him in the head , you can never be too careful

Yes, a good lesson. Stuff can happen fast with a machine that drives very slowly ...

What does something this fun start at price wise?

This is a big one with all the options so it's hard to say what a starting price would be. You could get one without the winch and a shorter trailer and shorter boom. That unit with power pack and winch is around $25k Canadian.

I have the Anderson Majaco 14 which I traded a Lucas 618 to Amish millers for. How would I go about adding a winch and which one would you recommend? Thanks I just subscribed!

The winch on that one is I believe 6000 or 6500lb and I wouldn't go any lower than that. I wouldn't be surprised if Anderson could figure out a way to add one to yours, it's really just bolted on to the main frame in the middle. It takes up a few feet of space in your trailer though.

I just bought a "damaged" M160 and I'm trying to piece it together. Is there anyway You could measure the main boob cylinder from Eye to eye fully retraced and fulled extended? Maybe a diameter of the cylinder housing and of the shaft?

Hi Brad, I'd love to help you out. Might take a couple of days. I believe the 140 and 160 have different booms, though that cylinder etc may be the same.

That’s a handy machine. Have you ever towed it on a public road? I don’t see any taillights or turn signals and I can see myself getting pulled over by DOT if I tried towing to a job. Unless a slow moving triangle would suffice?

Hi Michael, this machine is available with a road package and full lighting package. Faster rated spindles on the axles too. I didn't bother, but when I do take it on the road short distances I put those magnetic lights on the back and no problems.

You really need to get a pull or lift strap. Wrapping the cable around the tree and hooking it back on its self kinks and weakens the cable.
