My sister and I love road trips. We pack yummy lunches to enjoy as picnics at the rest areas. Much more refreshing than going into a restaurant, and we save money too! Great to see you have a trip with the folks! Have fun!

I recall every summer, our drive down to Orlando, parents would pack up the cooler for the trip with sandwiches and food and we'd stop at these rest stops and eat at the picnic tables. As I can recall, there were times we had to eat in our van cause there wasn't spots open. Days gone by.

I absolutely love it when your parents are in the videos. They are such joy. Enjoy every minute with them. My parents are about the same age as them and my husband and I are departing soon for a fun adventure on route 66 into AZ with my family.

A couple years ago, I had COVID really bad and sat around for days catching up on your videos up until the trip with your dad. I was so entertained and I just love hearing life’s stories as well as seeing all the places you go. As soon as I saw this today I had to watch it. Been a sub since 2010 or so and i rarely comment..But it warms my heart seeing your dad..He is so funny and smart and sentimental. The beaver was my elementary school mascot when I lived in Hollywood. Not only that but the school colors were gold and blue. We were known as Eager Beavers. It’s why Teen Wolf always will hold a special place in my heart. That movie came out while I was enrolled. Sadly, the mascot was changed to Bobcat for some ridiculous reason.

I just love these trips with your parents. I love seeing your Mom in videos, makes me miss my Mum a lot and all the trips we did. When you were showing the mugs, the one right beside yours was "Agnes" and omg that's wild, that's my Mum's name! Now I need to go drive to Florida to stop and get a mug in Georgia and go visit Bucees which I've never heard of before! Edit - now that I think about it, we might actually have that same mug 🤣

The videos with you parents are some of my favorite videos Adam. I lost both of my folks in 2020 but I too did lots of things with my folks. These bring happy tears to my eyes to remember the great times I had with my folks. I'm not sad cause I know I will see them again.

The last peaches my mother ever had were Georgia peaches. I brought her a bag to Florida because they were her favorite. She had cancer and died a few weeks later. Seeing you with your mother makes me happy for you.

Road trips were the only trips I took as a kid with my parents. Many fond memories.

Funny you would say that about rest stops. My Dad ,Mom,along with my Aunt & Uncle would actually make a point of going to the rest stop on Route 71 in Ohio to have picnics. Me plus my sister & cousin still laugh about it,have no idea why. Think maybe my Dad liked the cast iron grills they had. We would do breakfast.Was in the 60’s when Interstate 71 was fairly new.
