I excitedly showed my daughter! She's taking ASL as her language requirement in high school, and is on year 2. I love showing her all the real-world ways she can use it :)

@@shawnmarie459it’s amazing that’s it’s offered as a language option. It will look impressive on her resume’! I don’t have hearing in my right and I have about 40% in my left so I fortunately benefit from hearing aids but it’s extremely isolating and we need more people like your daughter!🦻🏻❤️

As someone who’s not hearing impaired but is fluent in sign and embraces the deaf community, seeing ASL interpreters is so magical and warms my soul.

That sign language interpreter is hitting it HARD! Woooo!!!

I would say every other waiter on a cruise does that. Everyone that works on a ship is SUPER nice and very friendly.

Imma need Tim to explain every hotel/cruise/airbnb shower from now on. I can’t see AT ALL without my glasses so every time I get into an unknown shower, it’s just a vacation version of Naked and Afraid 🥴😂

I went on the Fantasy in 2016 for my birthday. We also stayed on deck 6. The room tour brought back a lot of memories.

Being an ASL interpreter myself as a profession, it was nice for you to catch her on ship. She won't be alone. There should be a team with her so you may see her again or someone in her team. Working on a cruise ship is hard work and you are "on" pretty much the whole trip.

Pro cruise tip for power in the room. Get a cruise approved power cable. The one I use has 6 U.S. power plugs, 4 USB’A’ and 2 USB’C’ and it has a 6 ft cord.

That is one thing I love about Discruies and Disney parks ate so accommodating for people with disabilities or difficulties 😊 I have Disabilities and a Service Dog and Disney World was so amazing accommodating when we went in May 2022, can't wait to go back in November 2025. Sounds like you need a multi charger. We have one with 5 USB ports that only takes up 1 plug in in the wall. We love it! We looked crazy on our last Disney trip when 5 magic bands were plugged into it every night. We don't travel without it
