I've really been enjoying the large stamping plates lately! So many fun designs in one stamping plate :)

makartt foil glue. i think it works the best. your videos are so enjoyable.

2 questions why does my black print on the stamper smear when I try to color. 2. Can you stamp over cured gel top coat?

This video was awesome! Which top coat did you use and do you have any tips on applying top coat without smudging the art?

I believe I used INM Nails “Out The Door” top coat for most, of not all, these designs! One of my main tips to prevent smudging is to “float” the brush over the nail. Basically means that you need a solid amount of top coat on your brush, enough that when you apply it, the brush doesn’t touch the nail polish. If there’s too little top coat on your brush, then the brush will drag against the polish and smudge your design. I’m definitely still guilty of this and there’s nothing worse than ruining your design on the very last step 😓

Thank you for watching! As far as I know, you can reuse the plates for a really long time. I’ve never had any issues with plates getting old or rusty 😊

Would Maniologys Sticky Base coat work well for the foil? I'm interesting in trying out foils but havent dived in yet.

That's a good question! I've never tried with a sticky base coat, but I'll try it with Orly's Bonder sticky base coat and get back to you!

Thanks so much! I just tried it with Orly's Bonder, and the first time, I waited for the base coat to dry almost completely, and none of the foil would stick :( So I tried it again, except this time, I pressed the foil on my nail when the base coat was still kinda tacky, and it did transfer, but only a little bit. I think if you're only using it for something like I did in this video, with some random little patches of foil, it would work, but if you're using a foil with a pattern on it, then I feel like it's less reliable and might not transfer cleanly. Since filming this video, I got a foil transfer gel from Born Pretty, which works A LOT better than the foil glue I used in this video, and I used it in my recent Blue Foil Snowflake video if you want to see how that works!
