@@starcrossedknits hmm that's a good question! i'm currently knitting a summer top with a higher neck because i dont like how deeper necks look on me (so stuff like off shoulder or square neck lines). i'm also currenty making my first cardigan! but other than that i'm not really someone who goes for extra design elements (such as bows or lace). probably because i'm not sure i'll like how it looks on me so i dont wanna risk putting a lot of hours into something i'm not sure i'll wear. so for me knitting my current cardigan with a slight balloon-ish sleeve is a whole step haha

@@foebe5874 oo got it, so a little more simple / minimalist! balloon sleeves and a high neck tank sound really cute tho. i just made a high neck (but scoop back) tank i need to show in my next WIPs & FOs video soon!!

cardigans really seem like the perfect choice for allover lace/eyelets for that reason!!

Loved the fresh look of the knits you presented! I am seeing a Lot of mohair trends this spring but I live in Florida and have already switched to cotton and linen projects til next October. :-( The lacy headband I’m def going to do but prob out if a fingering weight cotton and put an elastic on it! 💛

i totally feel you, mohair is definitely too sticky for me to wear in the summer because of the humidity where i live! it's nice in the spring/fall where i am but makes sense you'd have to move away from it earlier in florida! lacy headband in cotton would be so cute and comfy to wear omg

i recently found your channel and really enjoy your videos so far :). also i LOVE your gingham cardigan here. I know you mentioned in another video about the pattern for it, but i believe the kit from wool and the gang is unavailable :(. do you (or anyone else) have any suggestions to similar patterns? thank you!

thanks so much!! oh no, that's sad! i don't think there are many other gingham cardigans out there sadly, and i lost the pattern booklet from the kit i bought :( but you could choose a cardigan pattern that you like and knit it with horizontal stripes, then with the WS out (like purl bumps on the outside) use strands of yarn to weave over/under to make the vertical stripes. that's the technique this uses! you'd just want to be careful you're paying attention to how the tension changes when you weave the yarns through.

yes it is!! it's the "penny cardigan" by wool and the gang, in their "shiny happy cotton" yarn in eucalyptus and ivory. i love how it came out and wear it a ton but i'm not gonna lie, it was kind of a slog of a project!
