I find I love making cards! Ha! That rarely includes any kind of painting EXCEPT painting with metallics on black cardstock! It’s past more than a “ comfort” zone. So be encouraged that you can do it all! Lol. I have watched your channel for years and emulate some part of your cards to one degree or another often. So you are an encouragement to me. Rarely do we see people with abilities such as D Hughs. Gosh. She is amazing! We watch people to be inspired and to learn from. Thanks for all you do in that department!

I like videos with real life mixed in! I enjoy them, real life happens.

So glad you enjoyed the mixed media and might be doing more of it. I’m in the same position, it’s hard to make the transition into loosen up ones playtime. I love the two cards you just made. It inspired me enough to go make some interesting backgrounds. While I love all of the floral work you and so many do, I would like to get away from flowers for a while. LOL as always thank you for your great videos.

A layer of gesso before the sprays will let allow more movement to the sprays, but I only use it if I’m trying to achieve a more watercolor background or using a lot of water. Small text stamps are awesome for mixed media. Love the new release and the new color, which means I need to order. Great cards, the color combo is awesome. Tfs

These cards are different for you, but I really like them. This technique will work nice for masculine cards. Because of you I have bought several of the oxide sprays. It’s play time.

I LOVE this card. More mixed media please!!! You should start an art journal you can practice in that way your not pressured to complete the project.

This reminds me a lot like using a gel plate. Same layering, just no gel plate. Really subtle color palate. Very pretty.

Mixed media is so freeing. Sometimes it goes the wrong direction but because it’s “mixed” we can continue to mix it. Fun fun fun!!!

When you first started ,I was like where is this going to go ?didn’t appeal to me at all ,but at the end I was like WOW!

I have been wanting to get into some mixed media. First I need some sprays. I just don’t want to get carried away on products in case I can’t get the hang of it. You sure have gotten the hang of it Amy. I love how these cards came out. Tim’s new color salvaged patina looks turquoise, which is beautiful, but I thought patina had more of a green tone. I could very well be wrong since I’m not a color expert. He just keeps creating more and more beautiful colors. In my opinion Vicky Papaioannou is the mixed media queen. Have you watched her mixed media videos?

Always love your videos and projects even though I don't always comment. I have just begun to play with the sprays and I love Debbie's techniques, too. She recommended Tiffiany Solorio in a recent video. You might want to check her out for mixed media (something new to me!)

Hi question do you have to let the crackle paste dry before adding different media like the different stencils and distressed oxides?
