The windscreen washing fluid would probably strip it off, since it acts as a solvent on these types of products. You can use shaving cream on the insides of the windscreen and side mirrors though. The surfactants in the shaving cream will prevent fog and therefore also the fog from freezing. However, the shaving cream comes off really easily with water, so you may need to reapply it. There's also professional products like rain-X that do the same.

It's more like scuff proof. I applied this to my car. And after one of my kids set a duffle bag on my hood. And it slid off leaving multiple fine scratches and scuff marks. I just grabbed a microfiber towel and to my surprise in all just came off. Like wiping dust off of paint. They were just gone.

Any imperfections in the paint will get sealed in until it wears off, so do your paint correction and clay bar before applying.

Same stuff they are advertising as screen protectors for cellphones. I had to explain to the phone sales rep that it's not new technology and that I had been using it for alot of years on cars. I also showed him how they are using about .35 cents of product and charging $25 to $50 dollars. I could have been rich because when I would get bored I would put it on my old flip phones and other Items to test I should have started a kit for cellphones years ago! Damn it

And how does it work on phones? I use Aquapel and it's pretty close to original oleophobic coating but... A bit more is left to be desired. Ranbowy mess on the screen does bother me.

Scratch proof? Yeah, right. My wife is magnificent at keying cars. She has proved it every time I've cheated on her, and this coating will not stop her. No way.
