What always amazes me, is how much the HD engine moves, in relation to the frame and rest of the world, when idling.

HD engines are very twitchy.

Nice video man, seems to be what’s happening with mine. Gonna try swapping the relays when I’m home from work today. Wish me luck lol

Best of luck! It’s an easy diagnosis just can be annoying finding the right relay. I got mine at Napa, but most box auto stores should be able to match it up.

Did you try the 9 volt battery test to check for spark by putting your tongue on the connections?😊 Serious though - great video!

Yeah, my 2007 sportster it’ll turn over like that but not fire and then all of a sudden it’ll start and then it’ll turn over like that on fire again. Can’t figure out the solution

First place to start is to check spark. Pull the plug wire off the spark plug, hold the metal clip that is inside the boot near metal on the bike, and turn the lights down low. Crank the bike over and see if there is a spark between the plug and the metal of the bike.

Did you figure out what the problem was?

So what if it primes the pump but doesn't start? Mine is currently cranking one time and then resetting the fuel pump. I know nothing about bikes.

If you tried switching the relays you may want to check all the other fuses as well. Then if those are fine trace the wires under the tank and make sure there are no shorts or bare spots where wires are exposed.

@@LoneWolferGarage checked the only know location of fuses I could find. They had 3 different colors and didn't come apart to show individual fuses in each section so I didn't fuck with it.

@@moroseyt yes, there should only be one fuse box. But to confirm what year is your bike? And there should also be a number on the end of the fuse in the center of the colored part. That indicates how many amps they handle before blowing.

@@moroseyt understood. Checking the fuses though doesn’t require any tools other than your fingers and a little patience. The way to check is pull the fuse out, hold it up so you can see thru it, if the little S shaped connector inside is intact the fuse is good. If there is a break, the fuse has blown. And what year is your ride?
