Sportster front brake lever tight after brake line change and bleeding

After changing my front brake line, replacing the crush washers and bleeding the brakes, my front brake lever is tight, hard to pull in, or doesn't pull in all the way, even after trying various brake fluid levels in the master cylinder.
Brakes work fine - they stop the bike - however, they act more like mechanical brakes, almost like they go from off to on, rather than a progressive pull, where you have more feel, and can apply more pressure progressively, increasing stopping power. Right now that window for me is razor thin.
Overall it's more of an inconvenience than anything else, just trying to figure out what I might have done wrong.

Hi Luis I’m unavailable to look at the answers. Do you remember how to fixed the issue with the lever. Thanks

Had the same problem, after rebuild my double disc. Turns out the main hose(rubber hose) is ripped off. Problem solved by changing it

Braided lines remove sponginess of rubber lines. Great for me, added safety margin in busy NYC traffic. This was June 2017. How did it eventually work out for you luissomoza74?

It’s because you installed a braided line.
