General Public recognizes the base rookies over the inserts and signatures. They have a more nostalgic relationships with regular cards... which tends to draw the less sophisticated collectors that happen to be the majority. Inserts and autos are definitely more rare and in a class by themselves... there’s no right or wrong. Positive positions for both groups.

Definitely can separate the casuals or people only in the hobby for the money by the cards that are their favorites or the ones they show off. I started making it a goal to collect autos about 10 years ago and to aggressively pursue autos of my favorite players. I try to spit up my money into buying more investment worthy cards of my favorite players, then I will pick up some graded investment rookies maybe with bigger upside as my secondary, 3rd is some ungraded gambles, and 4th I'll pick up some autos or cards I just like the look of knowing full well they probably aren't going to increase in value all that much. Out of my monthly budget probably like 50 is priority 1 (picking up cards of players I really believe in and like most that are already established), priority 2 is probably 20%, 3rd is 20% is ungraded, and 4th is like 10% ($200-1000 a month depending on cash flow and sales). Obviously #1 priority makes me the most happy, my last big purchase was a Optic Gold Auto Shai 2/10 PSA 10 for 4k last week, but man sometimes those couple hundred autos make me the most happy to look at. 95% of autos I buy are hard signed. Sometimes you hit some home runs too on the ungraded I bought a 20 card lot of 1981 Topps basketball for $100 got a PSA 10 Kareem Abdul Jabbar out of it and a PSA 8 Magic Johnson. Guy thought they were damaged with gum residue but that stuff comes off pretty easy with some nylon and elbow grease.

My feeling on the price increases is that the dollar is being devalued due to the fed printing money endlessly to boost the economy right now due to covid. People and especially younger people don't understand how money works. For every dollar the federal reserve prints, every other dollar is worth less. The more in circulation the less they are worth. Look up the video from 60 minutes where the fed chairman admits to flooding the economy with money. You make all this cash but you don't understand how money actually works. Get educated and invest some of that card money in alternative assets like crypto. Just my two cents.

I worked at a place called Brian's Toys for like 4 years. It was a fun job, they specialize in vintage sw. brianstoys.com if you're into that. Anyways the owner has this Mego Superman Figure from the 60's still in package on the card and AFA Graded. He needs to put that card on ebay every year for at least awhile to people don't forget about its existence and it loses value. He normally lists it at $100k cause he doesn't REALLY wanna sell it, but if someone were to offer that he'd take it lol

Don't buy ungraded from guys that are also selling graded #1 tip. And look out for older thrift shop type ebay stores, where the priority is less on cards, you can find some absolute gems because they don't grade their cards and don't know much about condition affecting prices (sometimes that can be a negative too because they can't accurately tell you the condition) but I'd rather take a shot on that then the alternative.

Sasha and The Michelin Man chatted with Erik for 30+ minutes and never once disagreed with what he said. All it was is a bunch of head nodding and bobbing. What a joke. How about you stop being yes men and have your own ideas? It’s okay to not agree with everything he says.

Yup that just about confirms it. Sasha is going to get COVID for sure now. Erik wasn’t wearing a mask at all. And then at the end 4 dudes sitting way too close together no masks. Good luck Sasha, well deserved.
