Omg this vlog helped a lot, ty (I'm attending SPOP 6 in like a week)! What was enrolling in classes like? I'm kind of stressed about choosing the days & times.

before enrolling, we go to our "schools". it depends on your major. (for example, mine is the school of humanities) there, we will have a brief overview of what GE's your school covers, and what GE's you'll have to do on your own. they'll assign you to different academic counselors to help you choose courses. after lunch, you'll be given like...2 hrs (more or less) to complete your enrollments :D (you can change them later too btw) hope this helps ~

My spop is on august 16 😭 any tips on what to do for signing up for classes? I heard it might be rough for people with later orientations

classes are most likely limited with a certain amount of people... there are some that gives freshmen first priority though! I'll say, go for GE's first, since we all need to do those anyways 😆 and look at classes that interests you using reg.uci.edu under the "schedule of classes" tab. it shows the dates and times the classes offers so maybe that'll help!

Hey I’m a second year at UCI I would worry to much for signing classes because eventually during drop and add week people will be switching and that will make room for any availability/desirable time for you. But a little advice always make sure everything is working good for you and don’t be embarrassed to have to ask for special accommodation (of you need them) and it try not to be too hard on your self if you feel overwhelmed. Good luck and UCI!!

ideally yes, since that's how the orientation is constructed (2 days 1 night) no matter if you are staying on campus or not next year. but for orientation, I think there is a form you can turn in if you want/need to leave early.

Did they give out a free uci hoodie? If so, how does it look?

Freshman and new transfers usually get the free class hoodie during week 0 of the fall quarter.
