I’d totally do this with snapcam. Make the actual dead version of the reflection. Hang a sign “See your future.” Noone can resist that! Very bad ass effect! Thanks!

I'm imagining making this look like a makeup mirror with light bulbs all around it, and making the lights flicker before they go out and the ghost shows up

Reminds me of trick or treating with my older kids, a haunted yard scared all the kids but my then 6 year old. Everyone else ran so he got the full size candy bar.

This is almost perfect. You should try a short delay on the motion sensor so the video only starts after, say 5 seconds of looking in the mirror. This would really make it awsome. Great job guys

I love that shot around 9:16. It reminds me of the demon-Katie at the end of Paranormal Activity. 😀

I think what would be spookier is if you used a camera and did a live feed so that they see themselves. However, you then do effects to their image. Like maybe have it randomly slow down so it gets out of sync. Or maybe have a green wall behind them and you use it as a green screen and maybe do effects on the wall like hands moving under the wallpaper. You could even have a ghost walk behind them.

I love how specifically they explain everything. I have seen many diy/craft Chanel’s, but they never explain things enough. This Chanel is a literal goldmine.

The 'wobbly' of the mirror film, adds a whole other dimension of creepy to the image though surely?

10:27 man that skeleton is strong! Love your vids! This mirror is so cool. You should try to decorate the frame to. I think it would give a spooky affect.

One of the best ways to incorporate sponsor in the show, and of course. The mirror was epic as well!

Came out so cool! As a freelance artist I love that you guys sourced some talent for the video editing. Don't forget to play with the tv brightness settings to get the effect you want in your finished lighting space

This is Excellent! Another thought: Using a camera to basically take a shot of the 'victim' live, as the 'mirror', then start the video. So that the 'live' shot is on most of the time (the mirror) , but then when motion is detected, turn on your VFX video. That way, you can just use a monitor (or rear projector/screen) to reduce the need for the darkness contrast of the 2 way mirror...

@@GregPackard Not that bad. Pi3B+ or 4B, USB Web Cam, HDMI Monitor, PIR Sensor, Some Python Coding. Grab camera video for your 'ghost' using the same setup. (Keeps the same background). If using a projector and either back projection or High front projection screen needs a few mods. Apps like OMXPLAYER and VLC can take both USB camera and MP4 video as sources.

You can definitely use the atmosfx ghosts for this!

I like it, but I think it would be a better application in a haunted house set up like on your porch. Set the lights to be on good, then when motion is detected, the lights go down & your ghost appears seamlessly.

I think one good idea is if you went with the same concept but what if you add like an ai that would actually show the animated ghost if the peson Infront would say bloody Mary like 1-3 times

That’s an amazing idea

So a 6' beach ball on Amazon is about $40. Some lime green felt is $10 a yard, need about 10 yards. A giant sized plastic egg, bowl, ect (something for the eye you can paint on that's smooth) is $10. Use the beach ball as your pattern. Some 2 " memory foam from Hobby Lobby $50.. Use the left over memory foam for the legs and arms. Some rubber for the bottom of the feet are $8 on Amazon.. I think this year we need to make a life sized Mike Wazowski costume. Let it sit in the yard or front porch looking all innocent for the longest time... Then on the day of Halloween someone perhaps climbs into it! Jump scare time.. :) Great thing about making it this way it it'll be machine washable if you know how to sew! And the kids get a new giant beach ball to play with if you don't wreck it. That's my share idea for the day. Nice video of the mirror working.

you guys should set up a livecam of your front garden on halloween just so we can see people .. . themselves lol

Second project today. Making a ghost with some cheese cloth and a 3 foot wide balloon supported by some wire and tape to hang in a tree. To make it more fun, dunk the cheese cloth in white glow in the dark paint.

The best part is not only will they get scared by the mirror but the ghost can be there in person handing out candy!!

The idea was great, but doing a custom ghost video for it made it even better! :D

your kids will love this when they get older. this was such a great idea, so spooky and cool!

Those trick or treaters are going to have to sleep with the light on for the rest of their lives!!! Can I come and stay with you guys for awhile? Maybe like a permanent houseguest! I only do Halloween horror and scary but my outdoor and inside creepy pales in comparison to yours. Mine look like a first grader made it! WOW WOW WOW is all I can say. You guys are geniuses!

Cool video very similar to the smart mirror I made that during COVID to keep me busy it was great! I could probably edit the smart mirror just to cycle scary pictures

You can also use a digital “frame” for the video. Most will play slide shows or video with motion sensors

building one now. got the electrical components for it. now i am studying this video as well as the instructions for the sprite player at medeawiz. used your video for cheap fences and it came out excellent. although i did use all 1 x 2 pieces and geared it for indoor use.

This is so cool! This would of been so awesome back in the day when we decorated the yard for Halloween. Where we live know we only get 2 - 3 kids that come to the house besides are 3 grandchildren so we really don't go all out to decorate anymore except for 2- 3 pieces I put out!

That's amazing!!! I love it!!! That earns all meh Halloween candy! I love horror, and scary things, the more I get startled or scared the more I want and the more I get into it!!! I play phasmophobia and that game can be scary as heck or to some not but if you know people like myself which I get startled easly it's amusing to play games like that with and I laugh and have loads of fun with!!!

Very cool! I think the final demo was a bit too dark though. I was too obvious that it was a screen behind the mirror. I'd bring up the lighting just a bit more. Overall, I love it! It would be great as a bathroom mirror for a Halloween party. People would essentially have no choice but to see it since they'd be in front of it washing their hands. Can you adjust the sensitivity on the motion sensor? Thanks for sharing. 🤘💀

@@WickedMakers I thought of that after I clicked send...lol. If are able to adjust the sensitivity on the motion sensor it will ensure the scare doesn't get wasted until the person is closed enough. So, for the bathroom example, you don't want the person to witness this until they wash their hands. So, if possible, turn down the sensitivity on the sensor and position it near the faucet...cheers and happy haunting. You guys rock 🤙

I have a killer suggestion for an idea I don't think anybody has ever done that I've seen. Can you guys make a spooky Jacob Marley outdoor decoration for spooky Christmas themes? He's the ghost in the story "A Christmas Carol" which is a ghost story. I want to do a spooky christmas setup this year as my Halloween hangover last 10 months a year but have no idea how to create this. Thanks!

The only thing I would change is no sound and that it's harder to see so it's not obvious and to catch people off guard but apart from that very cool
