Not really. People spoof mostly because it makes the game a lot easier. Anyone who plays legitimately, knows how much hardwork it takes to do most of the stuff in the game, from hatching eggs, to defeat raids, to hold/attack gyms, and so on. The way Niantic is so dumb, making the game increasingly harder for legit players, just reinforces why some players spoof, and incentives others to start doing so. Niantic could make the game perfect, and cheaters would still exist, the same way they do in any FPS game, racing game, and whatever. For most of the time, cheating isn't done out of protest agains the game devs, and just for their own benefit.

@@dcarvalho6144 you are right cheaters will always exist but if niantic made the game perfect then it would drop the number of cheaters significantly, I personally spoof but the reason why is I have 2 poke stops in my area and that’s it I would have to go 40 minutes to the big city if I wanted to do anything, that’s why I spoof to make playing more accessible.

Exactly, since 2023 from remote raid nerf they really had to silence themselves and wanted us to get the money for them

Spoofing is 100% an issue because of Niantics poor design. If you live in an area where very few people play the game is unplayable and no matter what you do you cannot overcome it because solo raiding isn't a thing. I dont spoof either but it gets more tempting everyday I go out and get absolutely nowhere because there's nobody around to raid with. Remote raids are an accessibility tool and why Niantic can't figure out why it's still needed is baffling. It's not 2016 anymore lol

Not only solo raiding but some places also pokestops, for pokemon spawns and balls. This has been better, but still alot of places not good. And I know, since they said no to a PokeStop which would help does around alot for playing Pokemon go, which I stated as well. But this might be other ppl playing Pokemon go to idk, but at least 2 I posted got no, when it should get yes, for the health of the game.

This is the 1st mobile game where it was not accessible to play in its fullest from anywhere...accessibility is supposed to be a mobile games strength and they made it a weakness

Probably hoping people would warm up to the avatars. Most likely hating the fact that most people hate it. Knowing niantic, they wont give us the old avatars out of spite.

@@TheGamingInkling In my opinion from my observations. Im seeing alot more open lobbies in pokie genie than usual. Betting alot of people are not using remote passes anymore. They are making up for the slack just a bit for how expensive they are now, and how some people still purchase them. The only results niantic wanted to see is how much people they could piss off lol. Now that they have enough cash and have a great IP to abuse. They are just bored now.

I'm still so salty about the avatars. They removed so many good accessories. Looking at my old photos hurts, because I liked my old avatar and really dislike my current one. I told myself i'd put my money where my mouth is (forgot) but I think it's time to actually follow through and just stop supporting Niantic with in app purchases : )

I started spoofing this year, and all I could say that spoofing is the only thing left that's keeping interested in playing this miserable pokemon game. There's a lot of complaints that I have about pokemon go and none will never be looked upon so why care about tos at this point if the game doesn't even care about it's own playerbase.

It sucks that Niantic killed remote raiding because that hurt legit small town players so much

I am a disabled player myself, and I cannot travel or go out by myself. Therefore, I rely on my partner, who works full-time, to hopefully have days off to take part in these events. With how expensive and limited remote raids are, I am sorry, but I will spoof or pay for a service and have someone do 50 raids for me so I can enjoy these Pokémon.

As an old spoofer, I do miss it. Tokyo, Paris, & Dubai were all at my fingertips. If I wanted a shiny, I went and found it. But now, as a legit player, everything is behind a paywall. The game is just not fun anymore. I've been legit for 2 years now, and I'm so bored of everything about pokemon go. Nothing new comes. It's all the same grind, with all the same pokemon. Also, remote raid nerf also killed my play group. This game may have been saved if everyone was more worried about losing the super effective incense over spin radius. I may be walking away after go fest.

I got caught spoofing twice, probably on the cooldown timer. And was banned for 30 days. What did I do those 30 days? I started another account, got to level 41 and built Pokemon with PvP IVs for both great and ultra league. With so many audinos available as well as the ability to snipe them, I got a full team of 6 built for both leagues and abandoned my old account

Personally i have no issues with spoofers, as far as I’m concerned, Nerfantic brought this upon themselves by declaring war on players specifically the remote raid community, i have no sympathy for Sternka or Hanke

Remote raids were TEMPORARY! Get over it or quit already. They spoiled the remote raid community by allowing them to spam raids. You burnt the game out for yourselves by spamming raidsfrom your couch quit crying no one wants to hear it. And who is the remote raid community? The couch kids? Get out and play COVID is over so is the raid spamming

We called them 'the angels' on sunday during the necrozma raid, 'cuz without them we couldn't get enough energy for each fusion, it's was like a miracle see the lobbies with 15+ people

I have no beef with players that spoof. Them "winning" (i.e. catching tons of shinies, high stats, joining raids, spinning stops, etc.) doesn't take away from onsite players. Granted I don't participate in GBL, but we know what @Poke_AK says about fair mechanics over there. As long as there's a general chance of defending the local gyms and competing in showcases, it's live and let live.

It takes though. For example, Niantic is forced to balance the game, due to cheaters. There's also the case of the data. See, we have seen multiple times, that Niantic isn't particularly bright, nor it knows anything about what is like to play GO anywhere else outside of their city. Niantic uses data, and that data is often used to make decisions about the game, including events and whatever. When you have a ton of spoofers, filling the lobbies "in person" in major cities, for Niantic, that inflates the data they get from raids, which makes them think that people are going out to raid, just like back in 2017/18, when it's actually quite the opposite. The same for egg hatching, walking distances, etc. Niantic gets their data completely skewed by cheaters, which inflates everything. Then people are surprised that Niantic increases the amount of events that have walking requirements, likely due to the amount of cheaters, including defit users, that inflate massively the average distance they "walk" daily. I wouldn't be surprised if the average distance walked by players, was something obnoxious like 20-30km a day, which is far from reality, that would sit around 3-5km.

I feel like you can use these until you get your first strike, then never use them again or use an alt account and self trade

I *was* legit player untill 11 june, I broke my toe, now Im using pgs to walk around my city (maybe 1h playing everyday) without risking and breaking docs recommendation, not using option to tp to tokyo or other better places, maybe I do spoof rn but Im not a big fan of it, does it put me into blacklist of niantic? Ig yes but i have no choice to play unless I risk with my toe

You get rewarded for spoofing you get more candy for trading because amount of candy is distance based when you trade plus no remote trading so if you don't spoof you either have more than one account or you not trade at all. main reason is the stupid in person events like gofest which could all be global and remote raid nerf so it costs less coins to use in person pass instead of remote pass so if you play legit costs you more money and you get a raid limit with remote as well. then can spoof to known 100 iv pokemon to hunt shiny hundos called shundo can tell someone spoofs just by them having lots of shundo pokemon.

I wish I could spoof there's a group of spoofers took over the two cities in my area cant have a gym for more than 10 mins and people who spoof get shinys and perfect ivs like nothing and free

I will literally never play the game again if they put any limitations on shadow pokemon farming. Shadow pokemon are my favorite thing.

people like Poke ak seem to be jealous or what we can say about his hate for shadow farming. beside that he has no gutts to face niantic and even he cannot persuade them through his vedios or his tweets to revert avatar update, so he is targeting normal people who are using bots.. Funny poke ak herosim, and some views for vedios, people in world know all the things going but poke ak need to be hero as if niantic will pay him, by making the vedio public haha..

I used to be so against spoofing, but honestly I cant even blame them. I've even considered it myself. But I've invested wayyy too much money to get banned.

I personally think it’s much more fun and way more rewarding to actually play the game the way it’s intended to be played but I do understand why people spoof. Especially people with disabilities, people in rural areas, or just people who don’t have cars or transportation. I definitely think Niantic needs to address the issues with those 3 groups of people so that they don’t have to cheat to enjoy the game. Maybe they can make like a disability mode or something that gives you your own personal pokestop and unlimited remote raids or something but limits your abilities elsewhere. I don’t know if that’s the solution I’m just spitballing random ideas here but surely there’s a solution to be thought of.

Not that I like pay to play, but they could add features on a subscription. I'd prefer to see that than all these freeaking boxes and tickets for sale.

I spoofed once for mega rayquaza raids. I live In a small town where I count on being able to add people remotely to raids.

Those were the days I literally went to Antarctica and walked around looking at cool stuff before they removed all the pokestops there

I've been heavily thinking about spoofing, I'm poor and can't afford to go anywhere and I haven't had an active phone so I'm just stuck using people's wifi, spoofing would at least let me spin the stops in my town

I dont have time to go and do raids so I can only remote raid at home and in my area is not people playing this game so spoofing was the only way I can play and get legendaries, now I got my second strike so I cant spoof anymore but how often do I play the game maybe once a week because it becomes boring to me.

Theres no pokemon go in my country ... only way to play is spoof ...

At the beginning I hated spooffers because I'll literally run across a far distance to take over a gym and as I run back it's being taken over and there is no one was there. 😒 that's when I tried it and it was kind of fun. Pokemon Go kinda felt like a different game. I just cane back after many years of not playing and I'm having fun again doing regular walking around looking for pokemon and feeling good working out doing this. What Pokémon Go originally wanted you to do.

Do have some days I wish I could spoof, like events I missed due to work, or during bad weather like either being too cold out or tornadoes. Then got holidays to where there are too many people around and I hate being in extremely crowded areas.

I've gotten so used to listening to your outro that I had to search the song and listen to it separately :D

What pissed me off about remote raids is you're only guaranteed xl candy when you catch the pokemon but in person you get xl candy just for beating the raids. Makes getting xl candies a pain in the ass so spoofing to a populated area for raiding is a must

I spoof but make sure I only knock out gyms when people have gotten their coins, don't exploit anything. Just don't have the time to get out there much.

The best way to fix that, is to get a 2nd phone, or a phone from a family member, and just have another legit account to help. Niantic put too much emphasis on "only one account per person", which is literally impossible to impose. So, if that extra account helps you, and helps your community, go for it. That way, if everyone inyour local group does the same, you now double the amount of accounts in a lobby, which can make a lot of difference. The only problem, is that it takes more effort to build that extra account, but I'd say it's worth it.

yeah wish spoofer dont take gym, mess with someone head you see them and there mental health, i was doing my own thiing playing the game in my local park i get knocked out, wish spoofer understand they dont need to turn every gym a certain colour and learn to share. i do spoof as well, i set goal for myself i dont knock out all gym, to do raids and catch pokemon for shiny hunting and see how fast i can level up, that what keep me going playing the game not spoofing for gyms or controlling your own city dont see the point in that there better thing to use spoofing for like fast exp gain raiding with friends, battle rocket grunts, just find something you like doing with pokemon go.

I want to start spoofing as I live where there is 3 gyms about a 20 min walk from my house to either and once u get there it’s a 40min way to the next. 6 pokestops again all spread out and no one plays and if they do they don’t raid, but I also don’t want to get banned. I feel they need to make the game better for places what arnt large city’s as I know people have it worse

As a spoofer myself, I can relate to this, theres a gym right outside my house but thats it for more than 4 miles, theres only a few pokestops here so I just gave up, I was so shocked to see 3 pokestops on each other in NYC, I kind of recommend spoofing if theres no one playing or raiding in your area

I thought about it a few times. Have resisted the urge so far

Rooting your phone and only that will make it safe for you. Do NOT use non-rooted services, because Niantic checks only in one way if you do hack/spoof: Validating the local game data and scanning it for manipulated files (they also check for Developer Options, if you enabled a fake-GPS provider, but this will not get you banned just there will bw no Pokemon Spawning with an error showing up.) Once you understand that, you can use whatever service you like that works by injecting into the game instead. However, only way to do that is giving superuser access to those apps. So that will require you to root your phone. Then you will be safe. Also rooting allows you to hide your Mock-Location settings, so you could do the most minimalistic way of spoofing without paying a cent: Using a GPS Joystick-App to Mock Location in Developer Options and use a special module for your root manager that prevents any app from noticing a fake-GPS

I was primarily f2p and I was saving coins to finally buy the avatar clothes, but fk that I ain't buying their sht anymore. I was planning to buy the avatar clothing with my real money later this year, but not anymore. Niantic loses even more money from dudes like me that were willing to spend money on the game

If more people tried spoofing on legit apps they would never play "regular" again

They give me 7 days ban on my 37 level account I have no choice now ,I will play regular one and do spoof with my alt account on other phones to trade with myself that is the last thing I can do now, because I have spend some money on that account and don't want to waste my money like that 😢😢😢

This is spot on outside the fact that they are not trying to kill the game, Its just happening. Lots of bad faith. They like the money and realize it allows them to do the stuff they own like ingress etc.

One other feature from what I have seen on these apps is the ability to see shiny Pokémon in the overworld. This is a feature in PLA and SV. I wish they would allow this feature bc it would make shiny hunting easier. Also, they could make it so the gotcha will not try to auto catch a shiny similar to how your Pokemon won’t attack a shiny in the overworld in SV.

For the rocket snipe, there is a limit to how many rocket stops you can battle per day. You get shadow banned when you go over the limit

I used to spoof until they permanently banned me 2 years ago, i had to basically start from zero in a place where basically nobody plays the game and taking the phone out to walk on the street could be dangerous… would i do it again if it were safe? Yes…

Niantic should just make spoofing available for everyone. That will solve everything

9:30 The thing with avatar mods is that you are probably "the only one" to see it. Your friends will see your avatar configuration from Niantic server, not the one modded on your local client.

I will probably be spoofing in the near future too. I just live way too remotely and after a while it isn’t fun anymore. I have two gyms in my town after the third one got nerfed and is just a Pokestop now. It’s impossible to have fun like this. I am not talking about jumping to a specific Pokémon or anything, I just want to be in a more populated area.. generally i am anti cheating but who can blame people for just wanting to play like the rest of em

And the reason is that where I live ALMOST NO ONE PLAYS and when there are these raid hours and good legendary Pokémon I just have to watch it count down slowly and go to waste. and this shitty shotty campfire never finds me a lobby never does anything to make me use my single remote raid, and I don't want to add friends just to sometimes have remote raids sometimes not, so you get it.

What I have against spoofing is that Pokémon Go is not a single-player game in the aspect as that you won't be able to influence other people's gameplay: you are. With spoofing you can get the best of the best with minimal effort and do things other people pay for with money, time, or in my case both. Furthermore: How on Earth can one be happy with a spoofed levell 50 100% IV, shundo whatever if you haven't put effort in it to get it? My first Origin Form Dialga raid turned out to be a shundo and the value I feel for that one cannot be outshined by any spoofed fake Pokémon.

Spoofing allows Disabled people play the game also it helps during winter times and then some people don't have large active communities to raid and it ruins the game for those players specifically during go fest so looking at it from that aspect It's alright tho I know spoofers like to explore the world and see different locations and different pokemon that is regional locked

I do a little spoofing to get my trade distance badge and get pokemon exclusive to other places in the world but I use a throw away account

The game industry is a whole is “poisoned” by progressive ideas. They may continue to add avatar features or they will hope everyone will shut up and play.

I’ve thought about doing it when the weather doesn’t allow me to go out. And mostly just to do my Pokestop spins. Other than that, I’d rather go out and play.

I spoof because I've got too much stuff to do during the day and when I come home I want to chill with something and this is the game I like...I don't have time to walk four hours every day and play the game and I don't want to walk around the town in the evening/night. I don't ruin anyone's game. I collect shinies and hundos and battle in raids. There is no way I am ruining someone's fun. No pvp, no gym battles (I just put something I can delete later into the gym when it is my color to save time). And I spend the money on the game, aomething Niantic likes....so I don't understand why I should be afraid of a ban. It's not like I'm using an aimbot in FPS game lol

I was 10 when Pokémon go came out and i spoofed a ton. Where i lived there was basically nothing maybe 2 gyms and a handful of pokestops. The only places near me that you could actually play were downtown flint and downtown Detroit michigan. Both of which were not safe for 10 year old me to hit the streets by myself.

I love having a route set and just auto walk in a top Hotspot. Or going to a safari zone in Taipei city. I have Nonshiny blocker on so If I click a pokemon that's not shiny it won't even go to the catch screen

Some ppl enjoy pokemon and wanna 100% dex in every pokemon game that they can get their hands on and pokemon go being big/popular and working well having cool stuff in it makes it so that it's one of the only FREE pokemon games you can get your hands on let me remind you that 90% of pokemon games will cost you over 50$ and thats alot of money

I feel there could be 2 sides is one side is defeats the purpose of playing like overdue it but other side is decent reason is let’s say Im in a more rural place and do Not know 10-20 other people to defeat legendary raids/ultra beasts (or very limited gyms nearby) then I feel it more understandable. It does get frustrating when being a more remote areas with Not much around

I could only imagine spoofing for the elite rayquaza raids, that actually would have been sweet. I spoofed back in the day for awhile. but I wasn't high enough level to even do the raids sadly, so I never tried. But like you said rayquaza raids weren't even spawning, I can vouch for that. The last rayray elite raid day, I got out there and literally there was 1 gym with a rayquaza... So I took that one down with a group of people, then I just went home :(

It's so difficult people started to take matters into their own hands bc they seemed, once again like you said, don't care about their community they don't address the struggles people that live in rural, small cities have to deal with. I agree with the not interfering with showcasts in remote areas. Let does people get the expe and the pikachus, at the very least they'll have leverage when they wanna do a trade goddammit!!!

These spoof applications truly have some amazing quality of life improvements that Niantic simply won't do. Even the "remember last pokeball" feature Niantic added, started off as a Spoof app feature for a long time.

Many parts of the game make people want to spoof , regional pokemon especially, elite raids, eggs , walking required for level 48 , long tedious hatching/walking tasks, excellent throw tasks, the avatar update/how the game is run. Lack of local community to complete raids because Niantic made them quit, short community day (people might be working 2-5pm ) so they go to a different country later on in the evening. So many spoofers have taken me out of gyms thus I spoof them out back on a spare account

Started playing PoGo day one launch in 2016, getting bored after two month, back then playing this game in the countryside was absolutely no fun at all. During the years kept saying no to spoofing, and it was way easier than now. Some friends asked to play together so I did, tried one month and felt nothing different from 2016, they also spoofed and I tried, hey! It’s fun!!!!

Yeah, I made a 180 on my opinion of spoofing. I don't do it, but after the remote raid price hike, I totally get the reason people do it. Cancer messed up my leg, so I get that it makes sense for disabled players too. I'm tempted just to get my old avatar back 😂. Seriously, Niantic does a great job of incentivising it.

i spoof on an alt and trade to my main, for no other reason then to get regionals and some in person raids only as i cant do many in my town. i personally think niantic needs a joystick for walking only. niantic acts like we can afford to just journey around the world to play a video game. and its just that, a video game so spoofing shouldnt matter to anyone . its a game people play to relax, thats what games are for. i can see shineys at look shiney without having to click every single pokemon while walking , changing avatar to normal , playing with other people is awesome instead of trying to find people to play in my area . spoofing offers alot. i dont care for sniping rockets , insta beating rocket, all the really cheaty stuff i do think is stupid , but some features are nice to have

The game now offers a lot - shiny hunting, finding the IVs for PVP, walking routes, show cases, etc. My jam is getting gold gym badges in my register. I have one account and I battle gyms in person. The worst is when I hike out to a cluster of remote gyms, take them, and 30 minutes later a spoofer (with a bot?!) swoops through and put their six accounts back into all the gyms. It makes me want to quit playing.

Players even quit being playing Pokemon Go although they able to spoof because most of the in game events were bored, lousy, sucks and whatever is negative terms.

When I got out of the military life was difficult trying to go out in public. My anxiety was an all time high I couldn't go out the door without my younger brother. Spoofing made things easier for me especially with my physical condition at the time.

The biggest thing with spoofing to me is exclusive events. The fact that they can go to any event anywhere is insane.

Most spoofers dont cheat. The ones that break the game systems are the ones ruining for everyone.

Rocket sniping got patched like a week ago , but yeh , took me 9 days to get from level 0 to level 50 XP it was insane

Back when I used to spoof on alts, aside from doing it to get regionals and shinies; I honestly also mostly did it to travel the world as it was the closest thing I had since I can’t actually afford to do that IRL. Also, with all the terrible decisions they keep making, as well as making it blatantly obvious that they hate us; and the Pokémon franchise, I fully believe that their end goal is to get the Pokémon Company to step in and pull the license from Niantic and to eventually shut down Pokémon GO. That’s the only logical explanation as to why they’re doing so much self sabotaging.

I would like to spoof so i can play in a non spoofer area, but i don't know how to start. Players in may area quit because of gym spoofers taking over about 30 or so nearest gyms so you have to p2w to buy items.

Full disclosure: I don't spoof, but if I did, I would do raids, pokestops and gyms. I live in a very rural area, so I often have no gym access. On the flip side, if I spoofed to a metropolitan area, most people have pokemon in several gyms if possible, so I would not feel bad at all kicking somebody's pokemon out, considering the coin cap maxes out after a day anyway. Most players need their pokemon kicked out of a gym anyway. If we still had the original 10 coins per day per pokemon, I would think differently. As it is, the other guy can use a potion, and I wouldn't feel bad.

Also why tf does every pokestop nomination get rejected and other bs ones get accepted when they’re exactly like the ones you nominated. Stupid ass wayfarers and shit system. There’s literally no point in reaching lvl 37

As someone who's been spoofing for 3+ years, the only thing I'll say is once you start, you won't want to go back. So make sure you want to cross that line, lol.

They must change the whole system of the game, allowing people to teleport everywhere within the cooldown. Who walks around every day for a stupid game?

I started spoofing just because I live in a dangerous place, if I go out I could get my phone stolen or even something worse could happen to me

Kinda Like what Gabe Newell says about piracy. It’s a service issue. If the service was better people wouldn’t feel a need to cheat or steal.

I live in a small town where there is no community. I can only play once a week, on a day off, when I can go to a bigger (also not big) city. I would spoof if I could, but I am an iOS user and I am definitely not buying an Android just for that.

I don't think niantic is intentionally doing anything. I think they are just kind of clueless, they have their goals for what the game should be and they don't get why people might be annoyed. As its also a well known fact that internet trolls exist and a lot of companies have figured out to ignore a lot of online back lash because its not always the majority, its just a very loud minority. The remote raid nerf did not impact my game play for the most part. I used to gym all week, get enough coins for a 3 pack of remote raid passes and on Wed my friends and I did raid hour. The price increase sucks and that impacted what we can do, but I wasn't raiding that hard core. I don't know a lot of players that raided more than 3x a day, some, but not a lot. Niantic is just out of touch with certain groups of players and need to pull their heads out of....

Without spoofing,most challenging raids around the world outside of city areas would not be able to be finished. Also, on topic of Rayquaza mega raid ,mega raid don't give as much healing or revive as normal 5star raid (ridiculous) so auto dodge keeps us in the game!

I don't use the same app but I use a other one because I live somewhere where I don't have nothing like for raid and nobody played Pokemon go so now I spoof in new York and I can have the legendary raid Pokemon finally, I just miss the Rayquaza because I do that after Rayquaza

Bro this rich people just keep promoting niantic as if they have paychecks from niantic. I say Poke ak like people as sadist becouse he only has 2 options, 1. use the bots 2. Or tell niantic to give so many pokestops and gyms all over world so that all play well. Third option he can not do is interfering with rural people using these bots. He has no rights to interfere in their gameplay . And Poke ak .. Pokemon go is not fortnight or pubg which is a multiplayer games giving good experience for their player . So you poke ak instead of pointing the bots you go talk to niantic and tell them to give fair gaming experience to all people

I use spoofing apps to raid, as my local community is way too small and composed mostly of kids, so playing with them is inappropriate. I don't take any advantage out of it, besides raiding - I don't teleport around to do showcases, I don't do pvp, and I don't care about shinies. Just killing half an hour a day and filling in my collection.

Stopped spoofing after my 2nd strike. Playing alot less. Most I do is keep my gotcha on when I'm traveling

I spoofed the whole nyc go fest because I got to a point where I wasn't able to afford to go anymore and wasn't gonna waste all the money I spent on tickets..
