    Paul - in love, there are only 2-kinds of people in the world. Those who love Jesus and the Body of Christ to an extent, and those who need to get a little better at loving Jesus and the Body of Christ. We all need to continue to grow in the love for God and our fellow man. Jesus - Help!

    Wow! Unbelievable… I started listening to this song nine years ago long before I was even married or knew that I would be facing infertility. To think that God was such a good shepherd to have planted this faith in my heart to sustain me through the last five years of infertility is simply amazing! Thank you Jenn Johnson and thank you Bethel.

    I bind up the spirit of confusion and anger, hate, and attack. You have NO PLACE on these comments! SATAN YOU ARE EXPOSED!! THE SPIRIT PREVAILS AND TRUMPHS EVERYTHING YOU ARE TRYING TO DO. I pray that peoples eyes may be opened to the beauty of this song and overlook the enemys tactics in trying to steer people away from the song and beauty of your majesty. In the name of Jesus, in the name of the great IAM. Amen.

    I don't think that most people are "trying to tear her down" as u put it. It's not only concerning her. It's an overall thing. their should be more modesty at Bethel up there on stage with what and what shouldn't be allowed, esp. as a woman to present herself up there....but men as well. You should stop using spiritual words for something that really doesn't apply. the issue resonating here is modesty.

    love spontaneous worship, pouring out the heart of God for his people and his people for Him. Spontaneous worshipers in Spirit & Truth are what the Father seeks, these are the forerunners plowing away the fear so the others can soar freely in His spirit. Most forerunners don't know this is their mandate by the Spirit because of the humility of Christ in their worship. He alone IS Worthy.

    I saw a clip on the side saying "spontaneous Worship" and clicked on it. I have to say that I did not care too much for the style of spontaneous worship, however, Let everything that has breathe Praise the Lord! I did feel a sense of happiness seeing all the different worshipers in God's House. There are so many things we as christians do in church that are not written in the Bible. But I must say that culture and times change and this is why we see a shift in how church is conducted. As an old generation dies a new one takes over. Just think about how different church was for your parents or even grandparent compared to the church you grew up in. This does not mean that we can do as we please and disregard God's word and the Holy spirit. We must have standards that shape our foundation as believers in this lost world. Each church and each christian has a distinctive style about them, I believe this is why we as Christians are able to reach out to many different types of people. We are not to judge but to love on others because how can we reach the lost if all we do is judge? We are all individuals and there is nothing wrong with that. We must remember that by keeping Jesus at the center of our lives, we are the salt and light of the world. In terms of this woman's dress, I feel it is appropriate. I did not even judge her outfit until I scrolled down to read these comments. I looked at the video again, and took a close look at her outfit and thought "That looks like something I would wear if I were on vacation and were to spend time on the beach with family and friends." It is just a very casual outfit in my opinion. I also feel that IF the outfit (which was not skin tight), was an issue the husband or another leader of the church would have said something and not wanting to offend anyone, she would have probably changed. What is important here is not her dress but the fact that she was able to bring a group of worshippers together to give OUR GOD the highest praise and to get closer to our father! God Bless you all!!!

    Ted Warren Hey Ted, I am curious what your belief system is. You reference and support the facebook page (bethel church and christianity). The page is run by baptist dispensationalists and you mentioned in a comment on this video that "God told you" to correct bethel. You support a baptist group that believes hearing God is not possible today because of the completion of the Bible as in 1 Cor 13:9-11. Your opinions are not logically consistent. It sounds like your mixing beliefs to fit what you feel is right which is just as bad as what your criticizing others for doing "living based on feelings". Give some background to your beliefs and positions so that people may actually consider hearing what you have to say.

    When i first read the comments on here I instantly wanted to defend Jenn's attire and tell people to calm down but I waited and let God speak to my heart about the issue at hand, because I myself have been a worship leader and dealt with the same struggle. What God revealed to me was as a worship leader we're not meant to be distracting in anyway. Because Jenn's physical appearance is rather stunning and beautiful, her appearance alone can be a distraction .... so it might help to be a little more covered during worship as to not distract with bare skin. We are all visual beings and the devil will use anything he can to distract! So it might be more helpful for Jenn to present herself as Jesus did .... Jesus was very average in appearance as not to distract from His purpose! He never adorned Himself with jewelry or anything that stood out. As a worship leader, we are to blend into the stage as to not distract from Christ! Which is the whole point and purpose! I love Jenn! I think she's incredibly anointed, talented, beautiful, gifted and surrendered to God's will and purpose for her life! I don't think she intentionally wears these clothes to distract! I'm sure she believes this is a toned down version of herself! So spread love! If you feel she needs to change her attire ----->> PRAY FOR GOD to reveal that to her! Pray for God to enlighten her in this area. But don't judge her ...... judgement is the cause of a failing BELIEF SYSTEM. People turn from Christianity because people are so judgmental. Jesus showed LOVE and provided wisdom in a loving manner! If you serve Him --- follow His lead! That will serve a greater purpose and create a better outcome! ❤️

    Thank you so much for this comment. I myself, being a female who has had my own battles with the issue of modesty, have considered this very situation & even struggled with my own judgmental thoughts on it. I could not agree with you more. Thanks for your godly, mercy-filled perspective. I don't feel that attacking someone is the answer here, but prayer is. I believe that as women of God, on or off the stage, we should aim for modesty (yes this is relative) but as women we are aware of what we are showing at all times so the question is what is our motive? Are we trying to draw attention to ourselves or to Christ in us? And accountability is important because we are all susceptible to falling into deception (the nature of deception is that we don't know we are deceived) I've asked my husband to be frank with me about my clothing- if its too low, too tight, or too high in his eyes for the public eye then I certainly don't want to wear it out! I can't stand the idea of drawing that type of attention. At times I have also struggled with the idea of facing a worship band while worshipping and feeling that there are some who have turned the music itself into idolatry- this is a whole other issue in itself but yet again, prayer & spreading awareness with love, not hatred like some others!

    But people will find anything to tear someone down. They would find something that she says during praise and worship but it doesn't line up with the word of God or something else that is completely a stretch. The devil always goes after someone that is making an impact and if they can't get to them they'll send other people to tear them down. Jesus says come as you are. And she is modest because if I have seen people that come up there wearing super tight clothes and showing off their cleavage and still worshipping God on the stage.

    Jesus is soooo amazing he loves each and every one of us it doesn't matter how many wrong things you have done in your life, because nothing is to impossible for Jesus to do, because he works in the impossible. If you have been having a bad day or day that you just feel like there is no hope for you the father is just a breathe away waiting for you to come racing to his arms, he loves you and you are special to him. Thank you Jesus for your love that passes all understanding we ask you that your Spirit be the one guiding us and that we can walk hand and hand with you for all our days.

Here it is: Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your Name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.” But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My Name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. I'm NOT trying to be legalistic, but somehow, I don't think Jesus would say to separate the truth from the BS...i.e. "Bullshit"...which is what "BS" stands for. Perhaps a better choice of wording is appropriate. from all the dung...garbage...untruth...lies...any one of those would work, I'm sure, and would get the same point across. Again, this is not to be legalistic, it just seems so unlike Jesus that he would us that slang.

    CS Lewis tackles this a number of times in his writings. Feelings, thoughts and emotions are God given and legitimate in their place - and they are subjective reality for those experiencing them. Jesus meets us where we are and is gracious. True, the mind (along with the body and soul) must be subject to the spirit, but personally I would guard against the rather dogmatic view you are proposing. Each person must live - and be allowed to live - according to their own revelation of Christ. I also understood that God separating the wheat from the chaff alluded to separating His own from those who reject Him, initially in the context of those in Israel who, being religious, set themselves against Him, but ultimately for the whole of mankind.

    Suffering is not caused by the mind. That is a Buddhist / Pythagorean teaching and completely opposite to the Bible. Followers of Jesus are called to be transformed by the renewal of the mind (Romans 12:2). For that to happen, we need to acknowledge the reality of the mind. And this transformation and renewal do not come without suffering; Jesus never promised non-suffering to His followers while our time on the Earth. (Heaven is a very different situation of course!)

Even the garden of "Eden" means garden of pleasure. Our daddy in heaven wants us to be happy. Even when Paul was suffering, he talks about his joy. And Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before him. Amazing grace lol I just typed myself happy lol thanks for posting your thoughts

    Her body is fully covered, she is wearing a floor length, flowing dress that shows only her arms.. If you are lusting over seeing the skin on her arms then that's an issue you need to work out between you and God, not her. Maybe you should worship with your eyes closed instead of focusing on the fact that you can see her arms. There was nothing inappropriate about this experience and maybe if you had been focused on God instead of her apparel you would've been able to feel His presence and worship along with her. That's an anointed woman of God and her worship is something we all can experience God through.

    Emily Kim Then why does the Bible command women to dress modestly? The Bible also says to flee temptation, so should all the men who think she is hot, leave the service? What is Kim's responsibility in all this? If she was up there naked, would you still be concentrating on men's lust instead of her covering up?

    Her dress length is fine. I just think she needs a little bit of training in not jerking around so much. If she does, I don't think it's ok to be up their with so much bare skin on top and baring so much armpit. She could have simply worn a cardigan sweater, a light one and it would've been decent. That's all. Otherwise it makes it too sensuous and distracting for men, heck even women looking at her and partaking in the worship. You don't need to only worship with your eyes closed to keep distraction away. Distraction should not exist in the first place. It's better to be wise than to make a man possibly lust.

    Ted Warren I see where you're coming from. You have a judgmental and legalistic spirit. Your link below is fill of misinformation. I disagree with you but I wouldn't call you a wolf, deceiver or liar. If you name the name of Jesus as your Savior and Lord, then you are a brother. We have the same Dad. You can look up almost any Christian leader and get all kinds of people calling them heretics or worse. I know several people who have been to all three years of Bethel school and they are wonderful servants of the Lord. Bill's teaching changed me from a skeptical man to one who sees healing on a regular basis. If you think all healing is false, then I truly feel sorry for you. I'll share one story. I was going to garage sales when I talked to this man who had hurt his wrist 8 years in the past. It clicked whenever he moved it and was painful. I asked him if he prayed for it. He admitted he didn't know if God was real. I said I know Him personally and could I pray. He said OK and the Lord totally healed the clicking and pain right then and there. Now it's years later and his wrist is strong and pain free. This is one story among many (and thousands more through Bethel folks).

  • @UniversalismProven

    @UniversalismProven

    10 жыл бұрын

    John Leonardson I believe 100% in the gift of healing and have been healed myself on many occasions. Do you want to give God ALL of the glory, or do you want to reserve some of the glory for Bethel? The person whose wrist was healed had NOTHING to do with Bethel. Bethel was not at that garage sale - you were and the Holy Spirit was. So what is Bethel? If 10 people from Bethel move to another city, it it still Bethel, or is a part of Bethel no longer there? So is Bethel the people or the location? The buildings? The school? Is this PLACE something special? Why did they name it? Do you see any named groups of Christians in the Bible? Does the apostle Paul tell any of the churches he writes to about any special move of God is a particular place? Don't you see how incredibly deceived you are by a man made cult? You REALLY need to wake up. PLEASE!

  • @johnleonardson9946

    @johnleonardson9946

    10 жыл бұрын

    Ted Warren No glory goes to Bethel - where did you come up with that? It's all Jesus! That's what any good church teaches. It's reality. I'm not a Bethelite! I'm not part of any cult, nor is Bethel a cult either. You sound deceived as a man who claims he has the only pure doctrine and cuts down others who operate differently. So you're saying a church can't have a name? What nonsense!! You aren't familiar with Bethel - only the naysayers. I am part of a lively church here which has no connection to Bethel. I only said Bill's teaching set me free - not connecting me to anything, much less a cult. I don't pray in the name of Bethel or Bill - only in the name of Jesus. Besides how am I deceived? You don't know me. You don't know of my 34 years of prison ministry. You don't know my fruit, therefore you have no basis to judge me in any way. Just because I mentioned teaching helped me, you say I'm incredibly deceived. Wow, are you off base!

She can only worship based on her relationship with Christ so stop judging. no one is forcing you to watch her videos so next time you want to say something back it up with the Word of God that is the only Truth needed. Stop judge lest ye be judge. David used to Worship naked, was he trying to seduce God or was it a matter of intimacy so please i urge you friend don't talk out of ignorance. When you spend in the presence of a Holy King to allow HIM to teach you to truly worship in Spirit and in truth then and only then will you understand intimacy. Ted, am I sensing a bit of envy? Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God has anointed her to sing, she is merely using the good gift that comes from God to do that which God has commended all of us to do which is Go preach the Gospel to all nation. The tour is merely an avenue to which God uses to provide for her financially just as God had promised in Matthew 6:33 quoted above. She is putting God first and reaping the fruit of her labor. So don't be so heavenly minded that you know no earthly goods. So instead of judging her or slandering what don't you pray and ask God to reveal to you what she is doing wrong so that you may intercede on her behalf since we are our brother's keeper. We are called to be like Christ, where is the compassion, actually where are the fruits of the spirit at work? so Pray if you see something is wrong with her worship don't come to spew negativity her with little to no discernment of her spirit. So Be the Change you Desire to SEE in her....

I pray from this moment God would literally turn your world upside down and open your eyes to what is using u to try and sow seeds of discord and disrupt the harmony of unity that is taking place amongst his people!! Be free in Jesus name. I believe in u and and love u.

    Ted Warren There is nothing wrong with God's children corporately gathering together and worshipping God with song. And without some sort of order or leadership, it would become chaos just as it did at the church at Corinth. Worship can be expressed in many different ways. If you listen to the words being sung they are clearly worshipping and magnifying God; and by looking at the congregation, they definitely seem to be ministered to by the Spirit of God. Whose place is it to say, "You're not worshipping God correctly, let me tell you how God likes it." Nobody knows God better than God Himself, so let Him decide what is worship to Him. Bethel church has made such a drastic impact on Redding California in a positive way: giving to the poor, laying hands on the sick and watching as God heals them, casting out demons in Jesus' name, etc. you can't possibly say those works are of the devil because the devil will not heal a person (he's come to kill), the devil will not give to the poor (he's come to steal), and why on earth would he cast out one of his own demons? There are many, many people who will indeed testify to all of the great works Bethel Church has done in Jesus' name. I have a difficult time seeing how one could say Bethel is a cult, when the things they do for their city are clearly things God did through Jesus. Jesus came and taught / lived 100% truth, and he was crucified for it. To me that says the truth is rejected by a lot of people, and I pray you aren't overlooking many good truth's that have come out of Bethel Church. Be blessed!

    There is no such thing in the Bible as anointed music. 1 Timothy 2:9 says "Women are to dress themselves in modest clothing, with decency and good sense, not with elaborate hairstyles, gold, pearls, or expensive apparel." Why is he addressing women here? You do not think that dress was expensive? Or the gold band on her arm? And if it is form fitting to the breasts, then that in itself is not modest. You have been seduced by the world's standards. Repent.

Reference Phillipians 3:3 "which worship God in spirit", Acts 24:14, "so worship I the God of my fathers". Proskuneo, to bow down or prostate oneself, is not the only N.T. Bible word for worship. And praise does not always mean singing songs to the Lord; David used (at least) seven different words for praise. Halal, tehillah, towdah, yadah, barak, shabach, and zamar are all translated as "praise" but only two of them involve the vocal cords. In fact, zamar praise is using just the stringed instrument to praise God.

    Ted Warren there are no proofs in the bible about what a cult is... can you find the word "cult" in the bible so that you can prove that bethel actually is one? i can't prove they aren't and you cant prove that they are with the scriptures, because they don't specifically address cults. they adress false religions that worship other gods like rah, diana, molech, and others. what you say is a cult comes down to opinion. as far as a band 'like bethel', for 33 years in the tabernacle of david. singers and musicians were paid to minister in song 24/7, with horns, cymbals, stringed instuments, drums, tambourines, dancing, new songs, etc. sounds familiar, maybe? oh, and the misspell of 'disable' was probably because i was thinking 'diablo' over the way satan uses certain people to slam others continually for posting anything at all positive about bethel...

The Bible says it's ok to give glory to God for someone else and what they are doing (unless the apostle Paul is grossly uninformed). If you're going to slam someone for a statement at least be scripturally correct.

Paul is not talking about celebrity Christians with their fame and fortune. Paul was boasting in their faith during persecution and tribulation. Singing songs and making big bucks on tour shows zero faith, zero persecution, and zero tribulation. Christian rock stars are nowhere to be found in the Bible. Bethel and Jesus CULTure make a mockery out of true Christianity. It is a farce and a sham.

    Ted Warren "We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints," Col 1:3-4. "We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God" 1Thess 1:2-4. Giving thanks to God for someone or a group of people is not restricted to causes of persecution or tribulation; it's still scripturally ok. The point was not whether Bethel is off or not or Christian celebrity, the point was whether or not you had the scriptural grounds to slam him for giving glory to God for the culture of honor and worship that he perceives has come out from a person or group (that WAS your original post, right?). And scripturally you don't. It's wrong, it's hateful, it's unprovoked, and it's not rooted and grounded in the love of Christ.

    Ted Warren I looked into what you are saying, and yeah I saw some greivous things. I agree believers should be taught how to recognize the truth vs. fiction. HOWEVER, I still believe that there is redemption for the wicked. Hell wasn't designed for people, and it's not God's desire that ANY should perish. So I believe there is hope for even the ones at Bethel that their minds can be renewed. God is Sovereign, and does NOT give us the spirit of fear. I dont fear them or what they represent. I believe that we should pray for them...Not an angry bring em down and burn em up prayer... But a prayer that they woud TRULY encounter God and come into truth...That way they can repent and use their platform to bring people closer to the Father. More than that, I believe that people should be BASED on the scripture. That way, no person, group, or organization can deceive them. BUT to come to the EVERY (majority) video an organization has and hit people in the head or bash them with your opinion OR THE Bible for that matter does NOT win...it only offends... Offense is like poison. God isn't pleased with that either. Put together and effective chamaign for truth...make your own videos...let the Holy Spirit lead you with what and HOW you convey truth. That way people have COME TO YOU for your information. They'd be more inclined to listen with an open heart. But being offensive and correct does not affect change...that's my point. I hope and pray that I have not offended you. THAT IS NOT MY HEART!! I hope you consider what Im saying...make videos, Bethel isn't the only one misleading the flock...That could be EPIC...and effective for the kingdom of God...what do you think about that? If you think Im out of my mind, just judge the responses you get. How many people actually receive/reject what it is that you are saying? Sometimes its simply about delivery. NOT what you say, but HOW you say it, or HOW you convey it. Market your videos....you know? You don't have to argue with people. You don't have to insult people. You are blatantly insulting these people...why?

    I find reading some of these comments rather hilarious! The fact that so many of you are commenting on the way Jenn looks, rather than appreciating the beautiful music and soaking in the Holy Spirit. You're being extremely judgemental, who are you to say what women should and shouldn't be wearing? Here you go here's a bible quote if we want to get religious over it- "Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" You people have logs in your eyes, keep your negative opinions to yourself and let God be the judge! He sees our hearts during worship, not our outfits and whether we are 'showing too much flesh'. If your a man and find that she's being 'seductive' or is distracting, maybe you should pray to god for him to control your lustful thoughts, or simply close your eyes instead of analysing what everyone is wearing! Sort your judgemental attitudes out please. Thanks Ha

If our first thoughts when we see an attractive woman consume us with carnal lust then that is lust of the flesh. On the other hand if we see that beautiful woman through the spirit, then we are not driven by impure thoughts but by the Love of God.

    Men are tempted by their own desires not by the behavior of others. The Bible says that sin is born when we are carried away and enticed by our own desires. This beautiful woman is not making anybody sin. How awful that anybody would accuse her of this! Sounds to me more like other people are guilty of lust and they want to blame her for it other people are jealous and their comments make them look jealous to everybody that hears them. The Bible says where jealousy is lies every form of evil. I wander how many people that have their finger pointed out at her suppose that God can't see their hearts. Good news for them God knows the hearts of all men yet pursues them with his love. Christ said come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden not come to me all who want to blame someone else for their sin. Women don't make men lust. A hard heart in a man makes a man lust. I suppose if a man can blame women for their lust then they will never be able to be free from lust. Because everywhere you go women are showing their arms LOL and a lot more. Be better off if a man prayed for those women and if a man owned his own lust so it did no longer have to blame women for who he was. Your comment my friend is the old adage you have one finger pointed out and three pointing back and have just told on yourself by the words that came out of your mouth. All I'm hearing you say is I'm lusting after her. Even though you wanted to blame her for who you are. I mean every time you go to the grocery store and you see somebody's arms what does that do for you. Do you have to wear blinders when you go out in public so you won't be tempted by someone else.?! How horrible that you are accusing this girl of tempting people. If you weren't having lustful thoughts you couldn't have made the statement. Anyways I'll have to keep you in my prayers. I pray that God frees you from the lust you so freely accuse others of bestowing on you. I suppose if she was wearing a bikini your statement would be a little bit more acceptable but once again women don't make men lust either men have been freed up from what causes them to lust or they haven't. It's not like she's wearing a sign saying I hope my arms are turning you on. How sad and pathetic. And I guess I don't really know if you're a woman or a guy so could be you're just jealous. do you think God's going to come and get her and do something awful to her because she showed her arms the people. OMG the nerve of others
