Ғылым және технология

In a video originally posted on www.theheart.org, Sharonne Hayes, M.D., a cardiologist and founder of Mayo Clinic's Women's Heart Clinic, and Rajiv Gulati, M.D., Ph.D., an interventional cardiologist in the Mayo Clinic Catheterization laboratory, discuss their collaborative research on spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), a rare condition in which tears of the layers of the artery wall can block normal blood flow into and around the heart.

I am a survivor,Everyone of my arteries where affected ,as they all split three times instead of two, and I ended getting nine stents inserted to hold the arteries together. Thanks to The Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, who where absolutely Brilliant and they saved my life .35% of my heart works now and I am so thankful I have that 35%.

I'm a SCAD event survivor of 6 months, have a 3 stent 'train' in my right coronary artery. I'm doing well. Have had some 'glitches' post SCAD, mainly with my Cardiologist's personality. Going to follow up now with Mayo from home.

I was just diagnosed with SCAD in June and I'm so scared and nervous. The Cardiologist said no surgery but he wants to see if the artery heals in 3-6 months. I have no idea what he should be doing but I'm scared for surgery.
