To me, this feels like the darkest one yet. The way Squidward just falls to his knees crying, trying not to give in to "SpongeBob's" words. And then he's just done, with nothing to do but let the monster catch him.

Seeing Squidward break down into tears was actually kinda sad. Nobody in Bikini Bottom likes him due to his attitude except Spongebob, Patrick, and Mr Krabs on occasion. Hearing the voices of the only ones who showed you kindness endlessly mocking you for your failure is rough.

Well he's never seen to be killed by sponge.xml So maybe he is working with Sponge.xml to kill everyone in bikini bottom. He has motivation to join too, everyone hates him. Also he could be used as a surpise attack for the more stronger characters [Sandy, Plankton, Karen] so sponge.xml could get an advantage using him

What I love is that you're giving each of your covers a story, this one by far being the saddest, Squidward isn't stupid, he's one of the smartest in SpongeBob because of his common sense, already injured, the faker realizes it can't just keep going headlong into confrontations or it will be possibly killed, he can't catch Squidward, so what does it do as a last resort? It uses it's smart and fast opponent's passion and desire to be admired against him. . .

This really hits hard. After all, squidward DOES canonically have some sort of depression.(i think) So sponge.xml uses verbal abuse and messes with his mind in order to break him down. Also, because spongebob appears as one of the voices, does this mean he’s dead and that the confronting yourself cover is canon?

So, here’s the timeline of events so far that I was able to cook up: First, this Sponge.XML entity came into being in Bikini Bottom. For seemingly still unknown reasons. Due to looking like the Sponge and some of the other videos, it could be reasoned that he has a decent knowledge on the characters. With that in mind he set off with the goal of killing everyone in the town. Which is why he first goes after Patrick. The lovable idiot who would be an easy catch. As he sings with Patrick, Sponge.XML easily kills him at the end. Seemingly by ripping his entire front body out, based on Confrontation. Then, afterwards, he escaped somewhere where he inevitably found SpongeBob, frolicking the Jellyfish Fields for some reason. Upon seeing him, XML immediately dashed as fast as he could. Attempting to murder him. SpongeBob of course ran at the sight of the horrific copy. Eventually; though, SpongeBob was caught. With XML killing and burying him in the process. Once he was done with him, he walked over to the Krusty Krab where he knew a certain crustacean practically lived. Killing any bystanders in his way. Unfortunately, however, due to this, his existence had stopped being a surprise. Which meant that element was pretty much ripped away from him. This, of course isn’t seen as a problem until during his fight with Mr. Krabs, who shoots his arm off before being attacked and killed moments later. After his fight, XML realized that he’d need to start playing smarter if he wanted to achieve his goal. So, with that said, he went after another relatively easy target. Squidward. Upon finding him hiding in a trash can, the octopus immediately ran off. With XML giving chase. Unlike before, though, Squidward was a much faster runner then SpongeBob; and quickly outpaced XML. Knowing that he had to stop at some point, the bad clarinet player ran head on into the kelp forest. Where he’d hope to stay hidden in its vast size. Despite this, sadly, XML could easily find him; and immediately used new tricks to eventually end Squidward Tentacles life. That’s it for now. Sorry if there’s some grammar mistakes or some weird ways I worded things. Not the best writer.

@@GoobertheDog1 I think by the partly canon one meant that, Spongebob died but only Sponge.xml killed him. Not with Spong. Also, remember how Spongebob is a sponge? How did he kill Spongebob? Spongebob is A Sponge. And in the show, Spongebob even being ripped in 2 or more pieces, getting squished, and etc still alive. This is either because of the Cartoon logic or it's just how it works

the same goes for Squidward. all we saw was the ghosts of Patrick, Krabs, and maybe Spongebob since it is likely he lived, and then it just goes black. Spongebob could have thrown like a Jellyfish or something at XML, and he and Squidward escaped. or maybe Spongebob really is dead, and maybe even Sandy saved Squidward, and Squidward escaped, while Sandy tries to fight off XML.

In all honesty I could see spong.xml keeping squidward alive. Why you may ask? Eternal loneliness and a slow death is a fate worse than a quick death could ever achieve

I don’t know why I like this so much, adding to my favorites

I think the fact that Faker glitches and puts Squidward in this black void represents him getting into his mind and manipulating him from the inside, making him let his guard down in the real world, allowing him to end him. Or Maybe he just grows stronger every time he claims one of his victims’ souls and now has the power to manipulate reality

Me listening to these amazing covers, 5 months later waiting anxiously for Voxbun to make this into a full mod

"Unworthy of Life." I don't know why, but I feel like this has sum significance as to what Sponge.XML's motivation is. The only real character to be actually worthy in Sponge's eyes, is Gary, seen in Scary Night. Which led me to a theory that Sponge is at least seeing the good in people, and since everyone else has done some pretty horrible things, maybe that's why they're deemed Unworthy.

This will be amazing. I just know it.

I wrote this because I was bored. Phase 1. Squidward is walking through Jellyfish Fields at night. He's heard about the massacres that Sponge.XML has been commiting. And he's trying to evacuate. Just as he reaches the edge of Bikini Bottom though, a strange voice starts singing from behind seaweed. Squidward is a bit creeped out by this, and tries to ignore it and go. But XML isn't willing to let his prey go that easily. Phase 2. XML jumps out from the seaweed to kill Squidward. Squidy dodges his attack just in time, and runs away, with XML giving chase. The chase goes on for what feels like an eternity, until XML tells Squidward "NO ONE THINKS YOU ARE TALENTED, SQUIDWARD. EVERYONE HATES YOU." This makes Squidward tear up, and tries to continue running. But it echoes in his head like a clocktower bell. He's trying not to let it get to him, but it won't leave him alone. Phase 3. Squidward then sees his friends, XML's previous victims. However, they're evil, and they've been haunting him this whole time. They keep telling him nobody thinks he's funny, talented, or hard-working. These things hurt Squidward so much, to the point he gets to his knees and starts crying. Squidward loses all hope in escaping the inevitable, and in tears, lets his predator catch him.

These covers make me slowly consider making this a mod. Also, did Squidward die at the end? I see that he's being tortured by SpongeXML, but I don't think he died, since there was no body at the end, but it could be like a Patrick kind of situation, where there was no death. Patrick being dumb and the 1st target was amazing, then we had faker trying to take sponge bob down so it’s more believable for only one sponge Bob, Mr Krabs knowing it Isn’t sponge bob was showing how much he cares and noticed small details, knowing he will go down yet go down with a fight is kinda his thing in some episodes and, now this? Showing how much Squidward can be easily put down by failure, shown in most episodes, him breaking down at the end by the fates of the people he “hated” shows that there is a part of him that cares, like that episode where they thought he ate a bomb, he really shown that he does care, so nice details though all of this, best question is who’s next?

I like how Sponge.XML is not just a Killer Spongebob monster no, he actually messes with them metaly
