Watching the Rehydrated footage makes this actually look better. The camera makes the boss have more weight and scale, the sound effects are ominous and in your face and the animation isn’t stiff and unfinished. I know that the bosses are robots but robots can have fluid and lively animation WHILE having a stiffness to them.

Sponges are similar to other animals in that they are multicellular, heterotrophic, lack cell walls and produce sperm cells. Unlike other animals, they lack true tissues and organs. Some of them are radially symmetrical, but most are asymmetrical. Sponges are known for regenerating from fragments that are broken off, although this only works if the fragments include the right types of cells. A few species reproduce by budding. When environmental conditions become less hospitable to the sponges, for example as temperatures drop, many freshwater species and a few marine ones produce gemmules, "survival pods" of unspecialized cells that remain dormant until conditions improve; they then either form completely new sponges or recolonize the skeletons of their parents. In most sponges, an internal gelatinous matrix called mesohyl functions as an endoskeleton, and it is the only skeleton in soft sponges that encrust such hard surfaces as rocks. Demosponges use spongin; many species have silica spicules, whereas some species have calcium carbonate exoskeletons. Demosponges constitute about 90% of all known sponge species, including all freshwater ones, and they have the widest range of habitats. Calcareous sponges, which have calcium carbonate spicules and, in some species, calcium carbonate exoskeletons, are restricted to relatively shallow marine waters where production of calcium carbonate is easiest. The fragile glass sponges, with "scaffolding" of silica spicules, are restricted to polar regions and the ocean depths where predators are rare. Fossils of all of these types have been found in rocks dated from 580 million years ago. In addition Archaeocyathids, whose fossils are common in rocks from 530 to 490 million years ago, are now regarded as a type of sponge. The single-celled choanoflagellates resemble the choanocyte cells of sponges which are used to drive their water flow systems and capture most of their food. This along with phylogenetic studies of ribosomal molecules have been used as morphological evidence to suggest sponges are the sister group to the rest of animals. Some studies have shown that sponges do not form a monophyletic group, in other words do not include all and only the descendants of a common ancestor. Recent phylogenetic analyses suggest that comb jellies rather than sponges are the sister group to the rest of animals. The few species of demosponge that have entirely soft fibrous skeletons with no hard elements have been used by humans over thousands of years for several purposes, including as padding and as cleaning tools. By the 1950s, though, these had been overfished so heavily that the industry almost collapsed, and most sponge-like materials are now synthetic. Sponges and their microscopic endosymbionts are now being researched as possible sources of medicines for treating a wide range of diseases. Dolphins have been observed using sponges as tools while foraging.

It would be neat if, in the rehydrated version of the game, the final boss fight would be altered to switch between Spongebob running around inside the robot, while Patrick and Sandy take turns fighting the robot on the outside in order to give Spongebob opportunities to damage it. That most likely won’t happen, but it’s a nice thought!

Knight of Arkronia it was cut from the original, but you can reactivate it, but the boss won’t be beatable. Since he still has the anchor arms in the cutscene, they probably didn’t intend on removing that fight, so they will most likely add it to rehydrated

I have an idea for Rehydrated. So while Spongebob is inside the brain of the robot, Patrick could be used for his unused part in the original. By that, Spongebob could take out the the little fuses. Once Spongebob finishes taking out one, the game could switch to Patrick, and he could throw rubble at places like the anchor arms, eyes, and other parts. Once Patrick hits a spot, it switches back to Spongebob, and progresses to the next fuse.

The new spongebot in Rehydrated looks great design wise and IS ACTUALLY TERRIFYING AS IT SHOULD BE. OG Spongebot was just a larger scaled version of spongebob with the occasional sheet of metal here and there. Still though, rehydrated’s animations do not hold a candle to the original game... I mean look how much effort the boss puts into his attacks instead of just snapping into them. Not to mention, Transitions between animations are smooth as hell. Heavy Iron did an unbelievably great job making a smoothly, and expressively animated robot still look robotic. Purple Lamp did not... not only on this boss, but on a lot of aspects of the remake. That’s very unfortunate...

This game had the most epic fights ever! Say whatever you want, THIS was THE shit back in the day! It’s why this will always be one of my all time favorite games ever aside from Nintendo games

I used to play SpongeBob video games on the PS2 as a kid. I played this game quite frequently back then.

Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is the game I am looking forward to the most this year it’s going to be so much fun I can’t wait.

I love that the ending isn't super dramatic. It's just feel good and simple. As a spongebob game should end
