I have been using the Spomb since they came out. Such an excellent product!
Thanks for your comments, some 2 1/2 years were spent on the engineering, design & vigorous testing for this innovative product the SPOMB before it was available. Earlier prototypes had the button covered. Keeping it open offered greater benefits. The mechanism is easily maintained, washing out clean as soon as it hits the water, bait is dispersed instantly ready for a fast aquaplane retreive. It can also be turned 180 degrees for a stronger latch, if required. We appreciate all feedback.
Great product i have used to great effect simple and easy to use as well as fast retreave and no spillage a camo one in the pipe line i hope brian will increase sales a lot more.
Most people have said that the Spomb has a lot less disturbance than any duck landing on or moving about on the water.
i bought a spod bomb after a few cast i found it was opining up mid flight ,i then switched the amount of bait i was using no luck ,so i put a small elastic band around spod, now sat at the bottom of my local lake. what did i do wrong ?
Mine broken down only the 2nd time that I used it. The plastic pin that connects the tail section cracked and the spomb would not close properly. Not sure if that was a defect or a loading limit on it!? Any suggestion?
You should keep the button area free of bait. We purposely designed the button open so it washes clean with each cast to maintain the efficiency of the button. You could have tried the stronger latch and can view our other video 'mini Spomb capacity and stronger latch' showing how to do that. You need to be careful of the small spring if you change the button. This option was designed for strong windy weather in your face. Unfortunately you went wrong when banding the Spomb closed with the weight of bait it would remain shut, sink, snag. Eventually band may rot, bait disperses and it would become buoyant again and drift to the waters edge.

We recommend 4lb - 5lb test curve rod with 45lb → 15lb tapered leader. Unloaded weight 2¼ oz (60g). Loaded with corn, casting weight 6½ oz (180g). When the Spomb hits the water it opens and bait is instantly dispersed. The Spomb is buoyant and ready for instant fast retrieve. FAR superior to any normal spod at last you can fish maggots effectively at range awsom product much less disturbance IMHO
hey brian, your spomb is not bouyant, mines laying at the bottom of a lake, and just an idea, why didnt you fit the fins at an angle so the spomb spins,it would go alot further and be more accurate,im off to patent that idea now,lol only kidding the idea is all yours
its very neat but why do they not just cover the button section so you cant even accidentally fill it? seems silly in all the videos iv seen of this people are always to be reminded not to fill it in this section. such a easy design problem to fix.
Just the job for delivering chopped fish to attract sharks when fishing off the beach.
This person is now minted simple idea makes ££ :)
