It’s worse than what he’s saying actually. That 20% is only for songwriting royalties not the recording which he uploaded to KZread. From what I can tell, he has pocketed 100% of the KZread song, which is where most if not all the money was made from this song…

His BMI argument is not telling the full story. BMI only pays for SONGWRITING royalties, not Mechanical royalties, which is where majority of this song’s money was made. He pocketed majority of the money simply because he uploaded it first, knowing that he didn’t create the work. He’s wrong and he knows it.

That’s just like when a youtuber upload a reaction of someone on their channel the same day the other person uploaded. Let them get their views first. Since it was emans face over the whole thing he should have uploaded first but since he didn’t get to upload first, you should have gave him a percentage of what you earned. Spoken Reasons used to be HUGE on KZread and then he messed it up with greed. I was a fan early on - but after that Eman stuff and then Spoken signed with Russell Simmons and messed that up as well, I stopped watching. Dude has ruined so many opportunities w/ rebellion.

The story goes they were supposed to upload the video at the same time but Spoken had the original video and told Eman it was being edited. He took months before actually uploading it. When he uploaded it Eman saw it two days later after and tried to call spoken to get the video so he could upload it the video. Eman said he either blocked or either changed his number but couldn’t get in touch with him. I think he never sent him the video until like some months or maybe a year later but by that time the video was a monster but only on Spokens channel

Him not being relevant. Let's be honest the only reason eman has been relevant these last eight or nine years is because of wild 'n out. He will not have the same level of stardom no irrelevancy if he was not on that show.

But what if the song didn't blow up? I was a fan of spoken reasons before that song. And then became a fan of Emmanuel after. Yes, he should've paid him,but at the same time Emmanuel got exposure from the song/video and made more monies. Usually, if If you see someone has a famous channel and collaborate like this. The co host (i guess you'd call them that?) Will only get the money from the songs being sold (most likely) than to get the money from the video. I've heard record labels do the samething . Seems like not too many differences here though.

It's an agency for songwriters. They basically make sure that the artists are getting paid royalties every time their song is used. So the artists Don't have to keep track of that themselves.
