There's one more ending you missed. After your first playthrough of genocide and making it to the end of your second, Clover will predict you'll kill them mid monologue, shoot you before you can attack, and then play out the justice/deranged ending with new dialogue.

@@nova-witchwood We don't actually know that. Just that they perma-died in the end. And they did want to, so it might be like the continue/do not choice in deltarune, where you can basically say "yeah, okay, i'll stay down this time."

When flowey loses his save power, his file is still there to load when he overpowers frisk, it never disappears So basically the file is still there even if you lack the power. You just need the potential in the first place. (Else, every monster would have an empty file)

@@pixelbee8349 I mean, it is my headcanon. And also in that situation they wouldn’t have enough DT in comparison with Flowey in order to access any file they had regardless of dying. Having a file != accessing it. Of course, because I’m in the habit of oversharing I have a few in-between states for close DT proportions, with weird reset vetoing and two people having partial access, but those are headcanons I don’t use for Clover anyways so they don’t matter.

@@pixelbee8349 Oh, and my alternate Undertale Yellow universe has Flowey access Clover’s file to reset. Clover doesn’t have enough DT for him to have a load of theirs go through, but a reset? Yes. This way we get a reason why Flowey can go back to Clover’s fall and put down a save point without saying his reset-point changed. Because that’s important to me!
