Spock and Bones (reboot) being a comedy duo for about 3 and a half minutes

Комедия

There's the oh so iconic duo of Trip and Malcolm from the Enterprise series, and there just so happens to be a Star Trek Kelvin Timeline equivalent... XD
I know that this pair are also like this in The Original Series, but the Kelvin Timeline reboot films are a lot more familiar to me so I decided to do that first. But I'm hoping to perhaps make a compilation of the Spock and McCoy from TOS being the same at some point in the near future. ^^

My parents had finally saved up enough money, to buy a nice size (for back then) color TV. (Seeing the ‘The Wizard of Oz’ in color was a big deal too). This series was his favorite (and us kids loved it too) and he told us that it was great to see a future Earth, with true world peace (he had served in the USN in the Pacific during WWII..... he had nightmares from that experience). I believe that he would have really loved the new movies too, but he passed away at age 65 (he had just been retired for 6 months). This is true for both sets of Spock and Bones, from The Original Series and these movies. They are friends, but they continually rub each other the wrong way but they are/were always having conversations like this. And this is one of my favotite parts of the Franchise. For the tracking device, you would be surprised how many times in all of the series someone has ended up on a planet without The Enterprise being able to track them. If anything, he needs one too.

Does Spock laughing necessarily mean he's delirious? Maybe, he found humor in the comment by Bones funny, about what would others do without him but Bones would celebrate/throw a party. Spock is half human. Having to hold in your emotions ALL the time would be SO burdensome.

You’re right, maybe he really is just letting his Human side out for a little bit, but the reason why Bones reacted the way he did, claiming he was getting delirious, was meant to be a joke because Spock’s been so stoic and unemotional before in his presence and maintained his Vulcan side so well around him that it’s a very surprising and rare occurrence when he shows the Human one. No, it doesn't necessarily mean he's delirious. There are times Prime Spock has laughed that he wasn't otherwise under any sort of influence. The big one I can recall is during TMP, when Spock's in sickbay after his mindmeld with the image of the Ilia-Probe inside V'Ger. There's a moment where Spock chuckles, before they begin to discuss what Spock discovered about V'Ger. I suppose there's an argument to be made that he's still under the effects of the mindmeld, but of any emotion one might ascribe to V'Ger, humor was not among them.

And that does not have to be a bad thing. It certainly makes sense in the context of the plot and is maybe necessary to give the characters the emotional arcs the writers wanted. Bones is a background character, there is little development there. He is therefore played mostly as comic relief and written very close to the original.
