yeah i see what you mean! i personally think that the fact you dont really have any idea what you're looking at makes it feel as tho the things splitter girl looks at online is beyond grotesque and disturbing, things that the average person just would not even begin to believe is real (as in like, gore/snuff videos that are out pretty there even by usual standards and more) rather than even believe its a real thing thats been recorded/documented and put online, and also that splitter girl is so detached from reality and is sort of put in a trance/somewhat dissociating as she consumes whatever content she does, like the sort of state of trance/dissociating where when you snap out of it you think about what youve been doing for the past few minutes/hours and it takes you a while to reorganize yourself? thats kind of what i thinks happening there? idk this was really rambly i hope it made a little bit of sense :"]

It genuinely sucks that KZread, for all its claims on caring about people and their mental health, took down something that people listened to in order to make their mental health issues more bareable. This song really speaks to me. I used to have thoughts like this when I was battling depression and possibly something else in fourth grade. I’m pretty sure the violent content I was drawn to was what gave me the thoughts, although circumstances definitely played a part as well. I’m glad there’s a song that talks about this because I’ve felt ashamed of myself for years because of this. Thank you, WeevilDoing

I'm so happy to see Splitter Girl finally return! Even if it's just a reupload, it's nice to have the song and video back. I know this has been said plenty of times before but I truly absolutely LOVE Splitter Girl, it is one of my most favorite Vocaloid songs of all time and definitely became a beloved piece of music for me! The song has also really resonated with me a lot and I as well as I'm sure plenty of others out there relate heavily to the trauma and issues that comes with the overexposure and romanticization with violence and messed up content at a young age so seeing a song that really personifies that dark aspect of mine and a lot of other people's childhood is really cathartic to see. ❤ It really is such a huge shame that youtube took the original down and the reupload had to be so heavily censored just to have it back up. I'm very sorry that youtube ended up screwing you over like this, you and your hard work deserved better than that.

My interpretation of the song is similar, with some differences. I think it's about someone who was mistreated or abused ("abusive misuse of a child) and ends up paranoid and hateful because of it, with violent revenge Fantasies. However, they meet someone who cares about them and breaks through their walls.

Like some things can be inferred (they experienced neglect and I believe physical abuse), but that's about all is known(unless i missed some key information). I think it's vague for the purpose of people being able to relate easier, tho I'm sure it's possible the character herself may have more story. A lot of kids grow up online witnessing the same horrific things, as well as growing up with horridly bad intrusive thoughts that reflect what this story is heavily about. Both are major topics that should be discussed more with how they're ignored and how they affect people. Shootings and murder are bad absolutely but occasionally some of what's in this song can be a part of what lead them to that.. it's a very complicated subject though beyond just that and sort of interesting in some ways
