    Sat vs sat, is using saturation to adjust saturation. So what you did was just reduce saturation in the least saturated range, which....does not much. I think what you meant to use is the lum vs sat, which uses luminance (targeting darker areas) to reduce saturation in the blacks. Cheers!

    This is the second episode that I've watched on your channel, and I'm enjoying your presentation style. May I suggest two professional Colourists that I follow and that you may enjoy as well? They are Darren Mostyn a Pro Colourist from the UK, where I live and Cullen Kelly from the USA. I'm just a hobbyist however they have taught me so much over the years. Cheers

    So split tones is good for images with more contrast, what if the image is flat but you still want to isolate the skin tones to pop out from the background? Especially when the background has similar color and tone as the skin? Like a beige wall for example

  • @AparicioCo

    @AparicioCo

    I would try to see if you could separate the skin and wall a little more in the primary wheels. Then I would try to use the qualifier to highlight the skin tones. If that doesn’t work I would use power windows and face refinement!

    @@AparicioCocool thanks! May I know what do you mean when you say to separate the subject using primary wheels? Like play with contrast?

    @@Loqu4Sorry I am late. But yeah I meant trying to try log wheels to slightly pull out the skin from the background. Since they are more precise.
