This masterpiece DESERVES a sequel! I think there would still be market for this kind of spectacle in 2020.

Agreed Such a fun game. Unfortunately Split Second 2 was going to be a thing bit got cancelled due to BlackRock Studios Shutting down. along with Disney gaming But hey Maybe in the near future :)

That would actually be an awesome idea! The only question is if a sequel will ever be made.

Funnily enough, the thing I'm most fascinated by is the premise right now. Does some super rich entity purchase cities just to destroy in these races? Do the people driving the cars die? What about flying the plane on the airport runway? And the helicopter?

If you go by the opening and ending of the game, they're all sets constructed just for the show. So this is an extremely rich studio with enough resources and space to afford all the setpieces and presumably safety equipment to make the premise work. Furthermore, more than a few people think the cars are remotely controlled since at certain angles you don't see a driver anywhere in the interiors, though that could be a dev oversight.

Late comment, but that's one of the many things I love about the game. It's ambiguous as to what the actual state of the world is, outside of the reality TV show.

@@RRVCrinale It would make sense that the cars are remotely controlled. In the film and television industry, safety is a top priority on set, which is why you have prop guns and blanks when you have a gun in a scene.

This game is my type. I'm all for explosive chaos, high speed, and an exhilarating soundtrack. I don't ever regret buying this game. It's too good!
