Honestly we should have a system that allows us to honor an enemy player or even all of our allies too (Paladins does this), mastery exclusive rewards for OTPs or people that love their champion and a wider variety of cosmetics or thematic loot (not only the boring event exclusive banners)

i pretty clearly understood what they said: most people want exclusive stuff to be earnable through hard work and without an option to buy it some people want exclusive stuff to be buyable without an option for common folk to own it. What they didn't say, is that this group brings big amount of money, so they will continue doing this for that.

How about we give out better rewards for honor levels? We need better incentives for people trying when they are in suboptimal positions. Maybe we should be allowed to honor multiple people in a game because sometimes a guy that went like 0/4 in lane deserves an honor but won’t get one because he didn’t carry the game

@@Hollidayze the thing is that even the higher honor level is a bit skewed because you can only honor one person per game. For example, if I’m not playing adc I’m most likely not honoring my support unless they really pop off. If I’m playing adc I’ll probably not honor my toplaner unless they completely 1v9, and it’s because I don’t really interact with them during the game. I would like to have the option of honoring my toplaner if he played weakside and didn’t tilt( for example) while also being able to honor the person that actually carried the game Edit: my point is that I have a feeling that high honor level lobbies would have a much higher auto fill rate because I don’t think people honor every role equally

@@MineArtworks Incentives, and the concept of an incentive, exist for a reason. Not everyone is going to always be the best versions of themselves, and incentives help push the community in a direction. There's nothing wrong with implementing incentives to promote behavior.

2 things need a rework: Better honor rewards. Diffrent level rewards when you have all champs.

I think the fact that they gave a nothingburger PR speech about monetization instead of addressing the actual concerns around it is a clear sign they intend to push it further in the coming years. Bringing up "no pay for advantage" as a positive (which should be a given for a game that prides itself on competitive integrity) instead of addressing the increasing predatory monetization tactics employed in the store makes for a very tonedeaf response.

Just remove loot boxes, if they really cared about the players they would do it instantly - can keep the randomness with the chests you get for s ranks, or honor capsules

You should read the dev blog they linked in the description of the video. It goes into more detail but doesn’t answer all questions. I don’t inherently fault them for this as they’re a company and the goal of a company is to increase revenue.

Predatory monetization is not okey and if people don't fight against it things like P2W and Gacha will become normalized in the west too because they work. My biggest issue is these systems clearly pray on the vulnerable not just rich idiots and riot is 100% aware of this. I don't fault them for wanting to make increase they revenue I fault them for doing it in a predatory way instead of providing actual value.

What is the thing with honor level 5? Why warwick or twitch?

I really want them to add a 200$ Chroma with a massive L on its forhead.

I hope this reaches the right people. I really appreciate the Dev updates. As an ex (not played in 4 years) Overwatch player it is really nice to see a familiar face talking to you about game content and stuff that is planned and what is the intention of the changes. I hope we can get some more of those updates. Jeff kaplans dev updates were part of what made the overwatch-community what is was and kept me in the game because no matter how much people hated certain changes, jeff was always really polite and explained every decision of the team and he always had the courage to step in front of the camera and show his face. Same goes for you, so thanks for communicating and I hope we can get these videos more often.

Personally it just feels dishonest for me. The whole "we care about the game and strive to make it better" really comes off as some foul smelling bs. Bugs that have been in the game for years get ignored UNLESS it happens in a pro game, even if they've been well documented and shown. I mean the pro players even get a list of champs/runes that have known bugs and how to replicate the bug so they either don't do it or don't pick it. Throwback to when Ryze + waterwalking bug was a thing and a pro got fined because he played it, then it got fixed a little bit later. for any who don't know, you could walk into the river and out repeatedly to get full mana fast because of how Ryze's passive works.

L monetization take. Digital scarcity is a terrible precedent to set. Things like the pro view pass that actually supported the scene and riot were much better monetization options

I've seen a lot of bosses/team leaders just transfered to other departments/positions, sometimes they want a role rotation but most of them were because their relationship between them and the CEO. They are not pretty when it comes to that.

I quite like this new style of dev updates that have been ongoing now, it's not grandiose like when they would make full blown production like with riot pls, but it's nice then every now and then we get an update from the devs about the game

I really wish for an update on the behavior systems in the game. It seems penalties for bad behavior are handed out more, but ranked play still frustrates me. It's mainly because of players who barely avoid punishment by subtly undermining the game, like giving up early or splitting from the team, and not communicating. Then there are those who outright insult and try to ruin the game. These issues really spoil the experience for me and probably for many others too.

When is riot gonna respond to the critical error issue thousands are having? It's been 3 weeks with no updates

The only thing i'd like to see is being able to honor enemy players, while rare i've def had plenty of games where an enemy player was really cool or just funny or dare i say "honorable" to play against!

The community does appreciate these videos and the communication from Riot, even if not everyone says so. I do hope though that Honor gets a rework in the coming season. Specifically I really hope we're able to honor multiple people in the future- including our opponents. As it stands, unless you hard carry a game, its really hard to get any honor at all (unless youre playing botlane, where usually the AD and sup honor each other). Honor level 5 also just feels... really unattainable for most players. Im a supp main who consistently averages 1-2 honors per game, but because I'm not playing the game hours a day every day, I have no hope of hitting honor 5. I was pretty shocked when I hit honor 3! Honor right now just feels really pointless. The rewards are so few and far between that it feels like a nonfactor- even some BE here and there would be appreciated, especially with the coming BE shop.

i agree on the videos - surprised to hear that you have trouble hitting honour 5 - i play just a few times per week and got it a while ago. I'd be interested to see the proportion of players who struggle to make it to honour 5 - it should idealaly be easily achievable for 'honourable' players :)

What can I use my honor tokens from previous seasons on? I’m not redeeming for WW or Twitch chromas for being a good boy all year lol

I would love to be able to show off my 3m mastery in a cooler way than just a barely changed mastery emote. I want customizable chromas where you can choose each color by regions on the texture, OR shnazzier particle effects that trail behind my footsteps, OR a crown of flames like how TF2 has hats with particle effects on them. SOMETHING that looks cool and makes me feel like my time spent playing a champion has been properly recognized by riot. Also, the honor recall looks so bad, please make it better or let us toggle it off.

Instead of focusing is spam pinging, I would like to see the ew leader focus on better match making lobbies was in gold and somehow unranked lvl 30 players and iron players appear in my matches Then maybe ppl would spend more is the state of the game is healthier
