you're overcomplicating one simple truth-they just don't really understand how could they possibly monetize a linear story-driven single player stealth-action. And since you can't really fill a game with micro-transactions, that game doesn't worth the time and bother. I bet there are still some good developers in their company considering AC Mirage and Prince of Persia weren't even half bad.

I remember in that time, many of them(including me) said "where is Michael Ironside? Bring back him!". But seeing now, Eric Johnson is quite nice to hear it. Later, Michael in that time, and tell us he was fighting to the cancer. When I heard that news, I can agree all of things. Even though, If Michael told us fast, they will agree to change Fisher to Eric surely. Including me... That's unfortunate. (I'm not native english speaker, please to accept some errors)

alot will say GR Breakpoint is shit- but its actually the closest thing to an actual Splinter Cell game besides that remake they announced earlier this year. it may not have tactical climbing and all that other point shooting stuff, but it has a fair amount of items/takedowns and gameplay mechanics that any splinter cell would have as "base gameplay mechanics" such as synch shot drones,DIV lures,C4 triggered explosives,Intel Grenades, Human Hostage Takedowns with Hiding Body mechanics, and carrying an enemy to open locked doors, shooting pistol from ladders, it has alot of things that Splinter Cell would have normally.

Remember the OG splinter cells where you had pull data off bodies, hack computers and actually read the context to get the access code to enter restricted areas?
