Lucky Bomb Drop is so good. I always prioritise it over pretty much anything everything! But yeah, the damn thing rarely comes out for me… One time, I managed to stack it up to 90% (on top of 40% Lucky Chain) and hoo boy, it was a sight to behold, just endless fireworks all across the stage and Jelltons’ corpses spraying everywhere. XD It’s a shame, though, that usually by the time we get to this level of power, we only have a couple of levels left to enjoy it (8-9 levels at best). I wish there’s an endless mode where we get to enjoy our hard earned palette set for longer. Or at least extend the number of levels to 40 and add the third boss in.

Yea I know so little floors when your maxed in lucky I doubt there will be an endless mode but that is a great idea

The strongest trio per combo I ever did was explosion range, explosion power and lucky bomb. It was so strong I barely had to do anything. The chance of getting that combo in hackless run is really hard though. Never underestimate the power of explosion range, that perk is the most broken perk of them all ends down.

Remember NOT to pick explosion knockback with this as it'll just send them flying instead of splatting them.

God, I'll probably hate doing this! But it looks interesting to try at the same time 😭

the only thing that saved me w luna was switching my sub to burst bomb 😭 kudos to you for completing this challenge without that!

Wait until the Splatoon devs add more challenges to Side Order so you have to use the Luna Blaster again 🙂

This was so epic. I was legit on the edge of my seat during that final boss fight. Congrats on the win

You've inspired me to do hackless runs of Side Order with this series. So far I've done the charger and octoshot and got sick of brella and decided to do blaster. Ironically, while watching this video in the background I got an absolute god run and cleared blaster on my second attempt lol. Really enjoying the Side Order content you're doing!

luna blaster was the weapon i first beat side order with (i had 3 unsuccessful splattershot runs, 1 unsuccessful dualie run, and then 1 brush run that died to the final boss before succeeding on my first blaster run). while i did have a bunch of different hacks active since i'd just been spending my prlz from each attempt, i ended up beating it with a mostly drone-centric build. seeing this vid makes me want to try blaster again with no hacks

attempt 1: died to reefslider while trying to break the 4th portal in overlorder phase 3. i had a mostly drone & movement build: 4 drone splat bombs + 3 drone gauge charge + 1 drone battery drop for high splat bomb spam, 3 mobile special charge + 2 swim speed + 2 sound wave damage + 1 ink saver sub to keep moving with curling bombs and dropping double damage wave breakers constantly. everything else was mostly inconsequential

attempt 3: beat it. ended up with sort of a generalist build but again tending towards drone bomb and wave breaker spam. this time it was 3 drone splat bomb + 3 drone gauge charge + 1 mobile drone charge for bomb spam and 3 sound wave damage + 2 canned special drop + 1 special charge for frequent and beefy wave breakers, but that was about it. everything else was just 1-offs of generally helpful things like splat ink recovery, mobile ink recovery, sticky ink, poison ink, etc. and not ONCE did i see fire rate up

Nah drone disk rate is #1. You can just play for a minute and turn off all the portals and focus in peace on whatever objective. Lucky bomb drop is defo in my top 5 chips though.

im so stressed just watching this intro, idk how he was able to play so many runs without dying of a heart attack

Main piercing made the challenge way easier for me, you can get direct damage on multiple targets and if you space right you can basically hit a single target twice, once with the shot itself and then again with the blast

The true challenge of side order is the RNG when customizing your pallet.

it was hard enough for me to do the low hacks 8 palette. this was hard to watch! for me having at least one damage hack on was essential

Surprised the Rush attack chip wasn't mentioned, that thing allows you to both knock back enemies when out of ink, as well as inflict 1000 damage on them. It has synergized with every single run I've had with each weapon, getting me out of so many dangerous situations it's ridiculous. It also refills your ink while you're doing it a bit! Granted only one of those runs were hackless, and the concept of "no vending machine" is entirely new to me, so maybe a slot for it isn't as good then as I'd think. Regardless, extremely cool start of the video breaking down your chip thoughts!

@@ThatSrb2DUDE Oh sick! Currently catching up on your other Side Order videos and saw you mention it briefly in the Dualies one. Looking forward to the new video all the same though! (I can't get enough of Side Order lol)

I play with minimum hacks, vending machine refill, floor reset and second chance (only one update, cost 3000 coins). With that it don't feel so restricted to me, because I play a lot of roguelites and those a features I miss from the start. I also visit vending machine, if I have many coins, to buy multiple chips, also resetting the vending machine get more and more expensive (with that I could also got max sticky ink for my blaster run). I also use my PRL to return to a good run. But I also wish vending machine would not skipping floors, instead a free visit after a boss floor. A alternative for a Can drop for more special is a blue chip to charge special with movement, that's what I choose, also one piercing and one damage each far and near. I also take three chips for range. I started Side Order with a luck run, so I did know about chain bombs. Also chain bombs + max combo 20 + explosion damage up is a hell of a fun. 😁 I want definitive make a pure luck run in the future, but some chips are just useless. Drone charger do nothing without a single drone equipment chip. Also there a lot of fun chip combination with other chips you can miss, which make a pure luck run somehow boring. A pure blue run would be more fun, movement speed up + special charge while moving, build your special in seconds.

From those first clips: you really should be using the pearl drone glide when you're out of ink

Even with hacks this weapon sucks to play with in side order this is the only weapon where I to play more than twice to complete side order even the octo shot wasn't hard

I flew through Luna blaster stack main firing speed and range along with swim speed damage up and main piercing ur good to go

I dont play with any Attack Damage, to get a diet experience

This doesn't apply to doing pure hackless, but if you go for the badge with less than 4 hacks you can unlock a chip that charges the pearl drone as you defeat enemies. This is in my opinion the strongest chip in the game, as pearl will start charging herself when she does attacks.

It's the only good drone support chip in the game, but it's REALLY overtuned.

Not really. The first one is really neat to get your explosion further into crowds, but any more are mostly just overkill. Just use curling bomb it's honestly more reliable against crowds.

I watched the vod of these some of these weapons where a pain, but you did awesome ❤

I struggled a lot with this one too. The main reasons were: -Ink recovery lag and general weapon slowness -Firerate upgrades are a massive bait -Basically starts without a special at all (It does about the same total damage as a SINGLE bomb and can't even deal with portals, try to get a different special from vending machines or you're screwed, it's best used as a SPLASH WALL which is a SUB WEAPON.) Also doesn't help how the game loves to offer drone chips when a drone build is NOT going to work with hackless.

Except Wavebreaker hits far more enemies than a single bomb can and doesn't cost any ink to do so. When paired with the damage from enemies being in your ink and the splash damage from the main weapon, it usually ends up putting in a lot of work.

@@123christianacIt fails to defeat even the weakest enemy with one wave. Enough for me to disregard it's damage entirely. It's a special that's worth roughly the same as 1 bomb and a splash wall combined that refills your ink. Which ain't bad but the other specials are just better. Oh and it slightly obscures your vision where you place it, to make it just that tiny bit worse. It excels at being a splash wall though, I'm willing to admit that.

@@Enox-we5ex multiplying 0 damage by 5 will not suddenly make it more than 0, also you can't recharge it until the old one's gone so ultimately you can't really use it well.

0:09 I hate that you get white-ink-frames after FAILING to fire a blaster/big roller shot. This isn't true for subweapons; you don't get white-ink-frames if you FAIL to fire a bomb, but you do if you FAIL to fire a blaster shot.

This is exactly why I hate Gslosher sometimes. It's literally several seconds of white-ink.

This weapon is quite silly with no hacks + no vending machines and I agree with DUDE in terms of how it has nothing going for it at the start.. BUT what if someone tries to do 8's palette and enable hacks for the purpose of allowing only 6 chips to be set. No using hacks to gain any advantages in the run at all while also not going to any vending machines to skip any floors and then try to get all the way to the end. Shot + Splat Bomb + Triple Splashdown is a very good kit for Side Order so it should be possible!
