One of the worst parts of this re-theme is that the characters in this ride felt like they were born in the park. Hardly anyone has even seen SOTS. This story always felt like it was a park original. I really wish this wasn’t happening. Thanks for the great video.

Same here.

Couldn't help but cry at 16:23. Our last ride was in October and I cried then too. Splash Mountain you will be deeply missed. Thank you for the many years of memories.

Great Video! I sent to my daughter to remind her we spent over 4.5 hours waiting in line when it first opened in 1989 for her 12th Birthday. After numerous breakdowns, we stepped into the log when it broke down again and they closed it for the night. Disneyland gave us front-of-line passes for the rest of the night (which we used on Space Mountain). We went back a week later and were successful getting on Splash Mountain after a “shorter” 2 hour wait. Oh the memories…😊. Thanks Again!

Josh, Thank you so much for this!! I had a tear come to my eye remembering when my son and daughter took their first ride on Splash way back in 2004. He was 5 and she was 3. We took our last ride just back in May 2022. He is now 23 and she is now 21. Babies no longer.😢

@@MissLauraSquared Being that she was born in the Fall of 2001 and we went on our first trip in the Spring of 2004. Yeah, she was just tall enough to ride it.

RIP Splash. How Disney handles the re-theme should be an interesting look at the post-Chapek era and what we can expect from it.

Goodbye Splash Mountain....I was so lucky to ride it on Wednesday at 9:45,PM after the ride had been closed most of the day. It was a great ride that will be missed. Thank you for documenting it today!

Thank you for this😭😭 Splash Mountain was my first ride at Disney when I was 9. Sad that it will be gone…. However, I’m excited for the new ride to come.

Shame on the Clowns that run Disney for getting rid of this ride and the movie it was built around . The story was a Beautifully told story of the history of a mans family . We learn nothing by sticking our heads in the sand.

Oh how I wish I had made a trip to Orlando Florida to ride their Splash Mountain. I would've bought that nice photo after going down that long drop. I'm glad I got to enjoy the video. I'm sure that attraction will be missed. Robert.

Hi Josh, another amazing stream. The quality is incredible, light years ahead of some of the other streamers. Splash Mountain will always be near and dear in my heart. My wife and I truly loved this ride. She passed away in July and I know she would have enjoyed your stream. I will miss and love this ride forever as I know she would have. Thank you so much Josh!

I’m so glad I was able to ride this one last time November 30, 2022. I also wrote it in 1997 and also in 2005.

The editing was so great on this Josh, thank you, I wound up getting emotional and tearing, you nailed it, captured the feel of it all. You're the best Josh!

I never rode this enough to truly miss it, but the reason it's getting rethemed makes me even more sad.

I'm definitely going to miss the original Splash Mountain‼️💦⛰️🪵 When I first went to DisneyWorld 4 years back, my family and I rode Magic Kingdom's version once during nighttime as it was hot during the day!!

This is the absolute pinnacle of laziness on Disney’s part to refuse to build a new attraction and instead, tear apart an iconic ride. It’s no different than Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad. Disneyland got a great cue fitting of the ride where as Disney World got an ugly bandaid plastered over an iconic ride.

This ia great! Thank you so much Josh! I wouldn't complain about a video like this for each ride. ASMR style. Just sit back and take a break and enjoy a ride when we need to.

Thanks so much for putting this video together in a short amount of time. I joined the stream last night for your final ride and you couldn't have had much time to put this one together. I only rode Splash one time, in November 2021 after my daughter and her fam went back to Shades of Green...it was evening going on night and cooler there late in November so i stayed behind and took the opportunity to see what it was all about having always before skipped the attraction. So glad I was able to ride when I did, knowing that its days were numbered even then. I used to read the Uncle Remus stories to my girls when they were little and they are now ready to turn 37 and 31. Time flies. Thanks for all you do, and the whole RTV1 crew (Jenna, Dale, Mom, Dad and everyone!).

So many wonderful memories on splash mountain. My parents had their honeymoon at Disney and have a big banner of them riding splash mountain and this ride has gave us amazing memories. Thank you ❤
