For those who don’t know: 1. The ride is definitely long but worth the wait. 2. The drop feels freaking huge don’t underestimate it. 3. Front row is really the only row you get wet in. 4. The scent of the water will leave you great memories don’t ask idk how to explain but overall just a great feeling. ***i live in Florida and I’ve been to Disney multiple times, especially considering I operate the ride every Thursday and Monday 😕 I’m sure I know the ride pretty well

I remember riding this ride at night, and literally at the drop, the grand finale for the fireworks began, and that was the ONLY time I had my eyes open during that drop. I will never forget it. That night was magical.

me and my family have learned if you ride it during the fireworks there is no line so you can ride it over and over again and watch part of the fireworks! Best feeling going down that drop during the fireworks 😌🥰

JustaLovelyFangirl they added the lap bars after 2008. I used to work there in 2008 and there were no lap bars. I think they may have done a major renovation on it in like 2012.

Indian Child Tokyo Disneyland's Splash Mountain also has Western charactetistics and share same instrumental with this WDW's where Tokyo's Critter Country is a sub-set of that park's Westernland (Frontierland equivalent) where it is themed to Texas/New Mexico instead of Louisiana/New Orleans bayous like in Anaheim Disneyland.

Splash Mountain is a little bit longer at Magic Kingdom than it is at Disneyland. They also renovated it a year or two ago.

It's been just 2 weeks and videos like this of people actually doing things together outside already feel like they're from some distant past or another world.

It's so crazy that I'm watching this at 27 years old and I'm still blown away. I've been on Splash Moubtain a million times, but never as an adult. The art is truly incredible, i wish i could have appreciated it as much as I do now. Some of the best memories od my life are at Disneyland (i did go to Magic Kingdom once when i was 12).

It will forever be my favorite ride. Brings back so many memories. You can also see the beautiful Disney world skyline on the drop!

5:40 this part always scared me as a kid. The happy singing fading away as the ride gets darker. The bear’s slow and deep voice and the faint laughter coming from the dark pit called “the laughin’ place”

I’ve been on this ride countless times. If you want the thrill of the drop but don’t want to get wet, even if you’re in the very front, just duck. It won’t make for the best picture, but if you do it right, you won’t get a drop of water on you

this is nice to see because every time my family and i go to disney either; 1. my parents say no to splash mountain or 2. the ride breaks down right before we drop

I remember at age 6,sitting on this ride being terrified of what was to come. When it got to the drop I screamed my guts out but as soon as I came off LOVED it and it remains my favourite ride ever to this day. Next year, I’m returning to Disney and I’m sooooo excited to finally ride this amazing ride again

Is Florida's version the best? I think so. You gain something from the southern dialect that's lacking in Tokyo, and the Cali version isn't as elaborate. Also the florida southern setting makes this feel right at home.

Easily one of the best rides at Magic Kingdom. The length of the ride really does mega build up the anticipation for that final drop! It's really not so bad though, it looks way worse than it is. Also didn't get particularly wet which was good.

I still remember this ride- it’s one of my favorite water rides-

I'll never forget going on this as a child! My favorite ride (other than tower of terror) So much fun, brings back some great memories💜

Brilliant video on splash mountain. My first ever ride I went on at WDW

I love this ride because its so long and tells a story with intense drops

It’s like the first few minutes they warm you up and act like it’s okay and then crush your soul when the drop comes

Going in January! This will definitely be one of the first things I ride!

Tea Cup I went in January this year too! I got soaked bc I went 5 times at night and it was freezing! Haha

Best ride ever. PLEASE DISNEY DONT CAVE TO CANCEL CULTURE LIKE YOU DID WITH PIRATES.

I love this ride. Very different from most flume rides while still staying traditional with the big drop at the same time. I feel like most flume rides are just one minute slow boat rides and the only actual fun moment is the drop. On this ride, they give you multiple drops, multiple indoor and outdoor portions with incredible animatronics, and it has a story to follow along with that makes you want to go on it again and again (even if the story is based off of a racist movie...). I also actually really love the length of the ride. It’s long, but in the most perfect way, not in the way of “ugh, let’s get off this thing already” but in a good way. It’s not TOO long. Lots of amazing rides in Disney, but this one is one of the best.

It’s not the ride itself that is racist but the movie it is based on is known for being racist. The ride is the last connection the company has to the movie

Your family should have wore some water resistant clothes or a poncho for the splash mountain ride. There are some people wearing ponchos in splash mountain at Disneyland. I brought my niece to Disneyland 2 years ago. She chickened out on splash mountain and she worst part was she was being a spoiled brat. She was complaining about the weather being too hot back in June and she said she liked the weather in Ohio better becauseits colder. My niece has the wrong misconception that you need to bring extra clothes when you go on water rides. You dont need to bring extra clothes for splash mountain when you can wear water resistant clothes or a poncho. Anyone who refuses to ride on splash mountain is just wasting their time and not getting the most out of their experience. Anyone who chickens out on splash mountain need to quit going to amusement parks for good.

Cheechy is PEACHI it was actually alright the first time going on it I got the whole stomach drop to your butt feeling but it was only for like a second and on the ride I was very anxious waiting on the final drop and then I went on again and instead of the stomach feeling I got it in my legs but I’m fine with going on it again and again cause I know what to expect the drop looks longer in video than it is in real life the drop is over as fast as a thanos snap lol but if you are anything like me that lift hill will give you anxiety

Being The Elite oh yay I’m scared solely over lift hills but the 1 in Disneyland is scaryier than this 1

i went on this ride yesterday i think with my brother and it was so fun. we loved it. we screamed. we laughed. we wanted to do it again but stand by was too long and we had another fast pass to use. using the fast passes was lovely. we had a fast pass for this. my mom was supposed to go with us on the ride but chickened our when she saw the big drop by the front and didn’t wanna mess her hair up she be soaked for brunch with mickey and his friends. we barely got wet tho. this was my favorite ride other than dinosaur.

Once you have been to WDW you will never want to go back to another theme park again. Disney can't be beat!😎

If you like thrill rides its actually the worst but if you like theming its the best. Cedar Fair parks are way better for coasters.
