The best time to visit Chandratal Lake is in June month when the snow clearance operation is complete. During this time, you can reach the lake by trekking the 14 km long road from Batal. You can also plan your visit between July to September as the roads remain open and the weather turned pleasant.

I am planning to visit kaza in the month of May from delhi-Shimla- Kaza route. How are the roads ? And which personal vehicle I should take to explore as I am new to driving

The road from Delhi to Kaza via Shimla in May can be challenging with narrow, winding mountain roads. Opt for a sturdy vehicle with good ground clearance like an SUV or above 150cc bike due to the rugged terrain. Check real-time road conditions at that time and consider hiring an experienced driver for added safety.

The present Spiti Valley road status is open from Shimla but closed from Manali. For now, if you want to visit Spiti, you will have to travel from the Shimla side and come back the same way. The Kaza-Manali route is currently not accessible and will remain closed until May 2023.

WE Reciently trip shimla and manali and rohtang pas.. but miss this palace spiti vally.... can we visit this palace by our personal vehicles..

Actually its depends on how you are traveling like privte car, taxi or bus and also how many places to visit there and how many nights to stay & eat food. You can make custom trip and then get a estimate budget from google or youtube.
