You are not as old as I am (95) but closer to me than the "kids" on KZread. Will keep an I on you to listen some more of what you doing, I like your style.
thanks for putting it out there
Spitfire LABs Gealic choir is quite fun for strange scottish choir sounds too
This helped me immensely! Thank you for sharing.
Spitfire continues to do it, again and again for us mere mortals. Downloaded and playing with it today. Thanks! :)
A wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing!
Very nice review and wonderful track. In long time, that's a Spitfire library I could be really interested in
Thanks for you nice review. They have also composed a fine, delicate piece of music and harmoniously combined with a delicate rhythm.
Thanks for this video, Chris... I just picked it up yesterday and look forward, especially after THIS review, to putting this library to good use! Be well, my friend!
Thanks. First time visiting (now subscribed). Bought the choir first day they offered it. Love it.
Makes me want to paint my face blue and go into battle!
Excellent demo !
Bought this library last week, and got a great Church Choir sound. Great value for money.
Thanks Chris. Although I have several vocal libraries on Omnisphere, Native and Roland vocoders, the articulation here is exceptional. Looks to be a great value. I also appreciate your style, like listening to a friend over coffee.
Thank you!
Wow! Quite a good value for that price point! Thanks for the video.

thanks john. i suspect this'll make it into my template.
Nice !
Hi Chris. I appreciate your review. I bought this library, even though I already have the Eric Whitacre Choir, which is very nice, especially the legatos. With 50 singers, this library has a rich, full sound that I thought might be useful to supplement Whitacre, or even replace it in some circumstances. It has its own character, and as you say, it is less complicated. I wasn't very interested in the shorts, but now I am intrigued after hearing what you had to say. Again, thanks.

I'm the same with Eric Whitacre choir, so wasn't sure where this would be useful, do you feel like this will truly add to it? I feel like spitfire might use this as a gateway to EWC anyway?
@NeuroPete
Жыл бұрын
@@danpoolemusic Maybe not "truly", but SEC might at least "somewhat" add to EWC for some people. EWC doesn't have the short staccato syllables that change each keypress. EWC has evolution variations galore (including the wonderful Evo Grid), but SEC has a few different ones that seem like they could be useful. As for the bread-and-butter long ahhs and oohs, I compared EWC vs. SEC in my DAW. They sound very similar to me (when you layer S+A or T+B), though EWC sounds slightly more realistic in the note transitions, and you can separate the four voices. But SEC sounds a little fuller, and it is easier to use. I like the male/female grouping, though a "tutti" variation would be useful. Would I layer the two libraries together? Maybe. There is a slightly thicker sound with them playing together. Bottom line? This library was worth $29 to me.
I picked it up today after watching your review. I installed it, and I have to say it's probably the nicest straightforward Choir patch I've had my hands on. That is to say it's more convincing than anything I've had to date. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
That syncopated section was inspired!
Great video.👍Thank you. Bought it yesterday for 17 euros.🇫🇷✌️🇫🇷

Excellent review and exploration. But could you also share what vst that solo Celtic-style voice is in your piece? I love the syllables and believability it has.

that's from one of the great Italian producer Stefano Maccarelli. it's "Clara's Vocal Library". the singer is Calra Sorace. Maccarelli has a bunch of great stuff like that.
This is a superb instrument and all for the price of a reasonable bottle of wine and appropriate snack. Same applies to all the Spitfire budget instruments IMHO , this library is solid at 29 credits as are others at the same price or 49 credits…they are outstanding . I also have many premium Spitfire libraries and what I get above all is the perfection of their sampling strategy , you can have a legion of articulations but if sound is not right then what you write is not going to sound great.👍

I hope they would add more content to the original series .. i bought some of them, but it needs more content to be honest ;) maybe a legato in epic strings, and satb in epic choir with more syllabes.
That does sound really nice, and it certainly is affordable. But I wonder why no one (to my knowledge) has figured out how to combine speech recognition software with MIDI data, so that a virtual choir could actually "sing" the words in a score.

EastWest has had something like this for some time. It’s pretty complicated to use though.
@S4Luux
Жыл бұрын
Because that's not Speech Recognition, but Speech Synthesis, which is really, really complex. State of the Art approaches use neural networks for this and mostly aim to generate spoken voice, not singing voice. In most cases, these are also not suited for real-time low latency usage and you need a beefy GPU setup to use them.
Good value for the price, but of course you can't really do four-part polyphony with only two distinct groups of singers.
ist this a single vst or i need more like kontakt etc.. I want use this with ableton live 11

If this vst will be free for short time in future ?

I think that’s doubtful. However check ou the LABS series from Spifire. They are all free, and there are some wonderful sounds there.
