Played the hell out of this remix on my radio show in the late 90s. When I bought the Think I'm In Love single (I was a sucker for B-sides) my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I heard this. I was a Spiritualized fan for years at that point, but this remix was next level shit. So good.
The Chemical Brothers headlined the first Coachella They played this and spiritualized played there also. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Moz and underworld also played amazing.

This is awesome. I wish I was there. Instead I saw them at the Palladium in LA, same tour in '99.
I got into spiritualized cuz of this remix.
This takes me back to my “drug hazed non stop up down raving mashed to fuck decade” of the whole 90s. I feel the song encapsulates much of my experience of the time, though I know the song/lyrics has a more darker tone than my escapades. Then I got serious with a girl and the fun died. Damn, I could shed a nostalgic tear or two.
Incredible mix, incredible memories I too ran a college radio station through much of the 90s. We played this one hard, on vinyl and CD
Heard this for the first time 20 years ago in ‘99 on the BGWIO mix, blew my little mind. Still fantastic!
Been playing this in my sets as one of the last tracks for ages now - got this on the remix album "Brothers gonna work it out" - track 23. Love it!

@thedigitalcollective I was disappointed when I figured out what the first part was about, too. But in the context of the rest of the album ("Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space"), you'll find that Jason seems to consider drugs to be a hollow way of coping with unrequited love. There's a bit in the song "Come Together" where he sings "Now Little J's a fucked up boy who dulled the pain but killed the joy." "J" is part of his pseudonym, J Spaceman.

@thedigitalcollective And in the case of "I Think I'm in Love", I think the second part of the song is meant to juxtipose the optimistic, drug-clouded lines to the sober pessimistic ones, which represent reality. It's one of those "love is a drug" analogies.

its also on "Yoshiesque 2" a compilation programmed and mixed by Washington DC based house music duo, Deep Dish, released on their Yoshitoshi label in 2001. That's where I first heard this anyway.
