Sufism indeed reached India and Pakistan through various routes, and Afghanistan played a significant role in its transmission to the Indian subcontinent. Afghanistan served as a crucial crossroads for trade, culture, and ideas between Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. Sufi orders and mystics traveled through these routes, spreading their teachings and practices which also included music. As a result similarities can be found in spiritual music across these region. It is common to find similar compositions and poetry being sung and played across the Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
In this poem, the poet explores how individuals often find excuses to justify their actions or feelings. The poem highlights instances where people use various pretexts to explain their behavior or choices, even when those excuses may not entirely align with reality.
