Because of GMW's work and the interviews I now can describe my path "Mysticism". I am an introvert and had a deep knowing from a young age that so much was not true and the many lived with lies.

I agree that GMW is the real deal. I would have humbly added to his answer that we must be very careful to avoid using monastic seclusion as an escape from our current place and purpose in life. I too have always wanted to spend some time in a monastery, especially in the East. But in my heart I know that there is still a trace of desire to escape the “reality” I currently find myself in. So, no monastery yet.🤔 p.s. Interesting that you mentioned Merton’s Seven Story Mountain. A real treasure. There was a man who battled the same dilemma most of his life. A series on that process, the rigidity of his Augustinian life (I think I have the correct Order) vs the pull of the East. His “Awakening” upon seeing the great statues of reclining Buddha’s on his first and last trip to the East could make for much interesting discussion. Take care.🙏
