Yay!!! For some reason this doesn't get a lot of reaction videos. For me the song is seamless from beginning to end. Sometimes when they do the harsh and heavy drops, it seems like two different songs patched together. But of course I like those too.
Please check out The Mara effect Part 1 2 and 3 by Spiritbox....there’s of course the official videos for each but there’s also a Full band play through of all 3 in one live session...it’s really somthing check it out....also keep doing what you doing ... smashing it bro 😎
You have good taste lol. Great reaction. Definitely do their live set The Mara Effect at Silverside Sound. Cheers!
I love not only the way she sings the "refuge" lyric but also the guitar work during that part. Such a banger especially for it being one of their earlier tracks! Very excited for the future of this band. Great content dude! Have you done any Periphery reactions? If not I would suggest Garden in the Bones from them for a first!
Courtney's screams hit so hard in Perennial. Maybe because of the whole contrast with her beautiful singing. But damn, also some credits to Mike and Bill, I love the instrumentals in this one so damn much. Especially the guitar parts. Layering is so good in this one aswell, I'm glad you mentioned that. Perennial will always be one of my all time favorites.
You’re literally covering all my favourite bands Love this
Trustfall is their best song
You're almost through the fat list of Spiritbox songs that I gave you on another video. BUT since you liked this one so much, I'm going to say now that out of the ones left to do, I think you will especially like Trust Fall and The Mara Effect live performance. My two favorites from Spiritbox. 👍🏼

I..... actually think that the studio version of Mara Effect sounds better. Their first "live" performance... the guitar is off. The Djenty sound isn't there and bass just..... nope. Courtney shines alone in that performance. (the live radio version they did recently was better though)

@@Mudified I disagree, I absolutely love the silverside sound version and prefer it over the studio version. To each their own I guess
"Electric Cross" is pretty balanced and "Trust Fall" as well. Sirius XM chopped their live show into single videos, I recommend to watch Spiritbox - Beauty of Suffering [Live for SiriusXM] | Next Wave Virtual Concert Series on the SXM channel first.

Electric cross is dope
Glad you liked this one. I think Trust Fall is the next track you should check out. Everything's Eventual is another that alot of people dont react to but its amazing.

Yeah I agree - this track keeps surprising me on my "JinjerBox" playlist, really becoming a favourite and haven't seen many reactions as you say. Similarly with Aphids - that's got a great riff or two in there that I can't ignore when it comes on and nobody reacts to that either.
This the only video of theirs that has Mikey from Iwrestledabearonce on drums. That dude rules.

I'm not good with faces, but Mikey isn't in their MV for Mara Effect Pt. 1?

@@XavierMacX That might be him in that one with his glasses off but I was never sure.
This song was the first one I had ever listened to from Spiritbox early last year. I just started getting into metal when the quarantine started because reaction channels started getting really popular. Not long after discovering Jinjer-now my favorite band-and their song called Perennial quickly becoming my favorite from them, I then find Spiritbox-now my second favorite band-also has a song called Perennial. Another reactor I was watching had mistaken suggestions for Jinjer's song as ones for Spiritbox's song, so he did a double feature of the two songs. Also, both bands have solo female vocalists that do clean and harsh vocals, something extremely rare. Absolutely wild set of coincidences.
nice one, dude.! glad you liked it.! the whole ep with this song on it is overall about courtney being depressed and feeling utterly bad about herself at that time. bleach bath is also on this ep - which is in fact about ted bundy respectively his victims - so, it's not every song that deals with courtney as a person, but every song has the overall topic of a person being sad. sorry, as a german i can't find better words to describe it correctly..:) the video itself aims to capture the beautiful nature of spiritbox's music, it was the first collaboration between spiritbox and versa films.
Mara effect live at silverside sound. Will blow you away.
Literally my favorite Spiritbox song
The Mara Effect Parts 1-3!
It's Jinjer oops sorry it's spiritbox time and I will always be here for that. love this band. Looks like you are coming around and undstanding the growing and it's placement. Good for you. Peace from Alaska
i don't know know to explain to poeple, that this is my favourite song.
you gotta check out courtneys one take of the beauty of suffering! it’s sooooo good

Mara Effect part 1!!!
"Music and video was normal" I liked that though. I'm nearing my 40's. Been listnening to metal/prog for....20 years or so. This band has got me hooked for the last year and a half. When I try to describe "why" to my closest metalhead friend... it's something like Even if some videos have stronger VISUALS... the music/lyrics are still... hum... "normal". It ranges from "power ballads" to quite-heavy metal, but always original, genuine and with a feeling of modesty that I can hardly explain. I just love 'em.
Speaking of balanced beautiful metal ... check Vintersea - Crack of Light ☺ melodic, slightly black, groovy ballad-type metal. Just released with nice surprises in there.
React to bodysnatcher-abandonment
I was a bit nervous you would not like the guitar during the verses as it is a tiny tiny bit similar to the belcarra 'haunting' notes just these are cleaner and djenty as hell. Glad you dig! I think you gotta check out Beauty of Suffering next...Def this one not the visualizer...kzread.info/dash/bejne/ooZtu8akldbZoLQ.html
It's funny, but this is one of my least favourites from them (still enjoy it, just something about it - it's as if it's just simmering throughout). Sean - Electric Cross, Trust Fall, and all 3 parts of The Mara Effect. There your next 3(5) to do on this band.

Man its funny cause this one is my favourite by them ..anyways they just don't have a bad song

@@cooltechnician that's what's fun about music, there's never a right or wrong - it's incredibly subjective. Seeing as they only have 15 songs or thereabouts, I can confidently say it's in my top 15 😆 Still rocks. 🤘
