A showreel of 4 of our most recent spinouts from the University of Manchester Innovation Factory.
- Watercycle Technologies: Sebastian Leaper, CEO of University of Manchester spinout, Watercycle Technologies, tells us about how their novel method of lithium extraction is paving the way for a net zero future, as the market for battery powered vehicles increases exponentially year on year.
- SmartIR: CEO and co-founder of SmartIR, Margherita Sepioni, introduces SmartIR’s innovative graphene-based tiles which have the ability to control visible colour and infrared light creating limitless applications including aerospace and defence.
- SentiraXR (formerly VREvo): Virtual reality as a revolutionary teaching tool for medical students. Jeremy Carter, CEO of SentiraXR, tells us about this software which provides students with superior, authentic learning experiences through the use of VR simulations.
- Apini: Extracellular NAMPT (eNAMPT/PBEF/visfatin) have been implicated in the pathophysiology of a range of chronic inflammatory diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, where there is an emerging relationship between eNAMPT levels and disease state in both preclinical models and patients. Dr Sam Butterworth tells us how they have developed a new series of small molecule compounds, specifically designed to inhibit the pro-inflammatory activity of eNAMPT
