Spinning The Globe & Flying MY HUSBAND Wherever It Lands

I spun a globe and made my husband fly wherever it landed! This is one of the most random and crazy travel adventures we have ever attempted, leaving the entire trip completely up to chance. Matt wanted to go on a random adventure, so I thought it would be fun to leave everything up to the spin of a globe, so we spun Google Earth using the "I'm feeling lucky" feature, and where it ended up was absolutely insane!

So fun!! I hope to see this go the other way around in a future video where Julia gets to be surprised! This is something I've always wanted to do - leaving it up to chance and going wherever the globe spins. Once I have the ability to do this, I'm definitely going to make a video of it! 😂 Also, so funny it landed in Sarajevo! I'm planning on visiting next year!

Matt I'm sure you truly missed Julia but I applaud your spirit of adventure going out on your own and re-exploring Bosnia & Croatia. Nice video.
He really must love you A LOT! 😇
Years ago a guy based in England used to go up to strangers and get suggestions for things to do. He'd collect 6, put them in a hat and pull out his objective. He filmed it all and the adventures led him all over the place. Wish I could remember his name, but the spontaneity was infectious! Great video guys :)

I raced on that track in the 80’s. Absolutely loved the track . It was so fast .. so much fun. The Start-Houses were unique and beautiful as well. Great memories.
Loved everything about this trip! You seemed quite relaxed, despite the strangeness of the situation. Really enjoyed your commentary.

Love this trip! One thing to explore as well is that this area divided the Eastern Roman empire and the Western Roman empire. That is why you see Catholic (Western Roman) and Orthodox (Eastern Roman) Churches in different parts. That line runs from where you are in this video, through the Adriatic and Mediterranean, to also divide Africa, with the line running roughly through modern day Libya. So the history of that area goes back literally millennia!
Matt’s so cute. It’s nice to see this side of your personality. Great vid you guys! Keep up the good work and happy travels 🙂✌🏼
Uncoordinated travel or documentaries and undetermined details always create fascinating and spectacular events. I believe that the narrative form of the video is also a little out of its classical framework and everything is recorded in reality with a hand-held camera. The audience communicates more. Your choice of how to travel was very good ❤❤
I'm glad Julia trusts you enough to let you travel by yourself for 2 weeks. Should she be worried???? 😂

What a nice vlog Matt. You did your homework about Bosnia. And Julie what a great idea. Next time you do again , it should be Matt picking where you will be visiting, Julia Sending you much love❤❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
So my husband and I did this one year, literally threw a dart at a big map of the US and went to the exact town where the dart landed. Ended up in the tiniest little town of Elk River, Idaho. Added on a full state road trip. One of the best trips we’ve been on
Omg guys, this is so flipping cool !! Well done Matt, I totally know what you mean about vlogging on your own 😂 the abandoned places are epic. I want to visit Sarajevo now!

That was awesome Matt! Thank you for taking us along your week trip and traveling through the country and in the city! Cannot wait to see more!! I love the idea of Julia randomly setting up the destination of where you'll end up.
Thanks for the great tour, Matt. I'd love to make it to Croatia one day.
Such a lovely city/country trip. Sarajevo has a lot to explore; the old town is touristy but quaint. Enjoyed the cable car and walk which we did not do so that was fun! Neum was really pretty. And we didn't get to Krka Park either on our road trip, so that's great to see. Enjoyed the history very much; it was a good refresher as the Balkan's history is VERY complicated. So much to explore and you and Julia do it with panache! Thanks, merci!

Muy bueno this road trip!! such a different atmosphere from Julia's video in the cozy Swiss cabin. That's cool, but I couldn't do that! Let someone else prepare a trip for me, no no no! I always have to be in control of where I am going and I must also have everything ready at least 6 months in advance!! haha Love that the adventure starts in your Bangkok apartment, continues in Istanbul with Ireland in the middle !! I also just started a book about a river, Bernard Levin "to the end of the Rhine" from 1987. Rivers are in fashion. Eagerly waiting for the videos from Ireland, more ginger than ever! ha ha Love to both, im back in Buenos Aires
Matt & Julia every time I see your videos my travel bug is growing and growing. It I had the practical ability in order and economic to, I had brought a mobile home and drive out to see every corner of Europe to explore every country and their history 😍 tanks for taking us with you around the world and being so informative the whole time 🥰👍
What lovely video, well done my dear KZread friends !
I still love your videos,guys!
Great vlogg Matt❤ x
Yay perfect timing to watch with Friday night dinner 😊 also, I’m such a travel control freak and I’m so impressed you did this!!
You crazy kids! But that is such a cool way of choosing destinations - spin the globe see where it goes. If you land in the middle of the sea, just choose the nearest country you can realistically get to by plane or boat.
Matt saying "we" all the time he's travelling alone must be a tough old habit to break.
SO much fun! Can't wait for the next one!
Wow, Julia has wonderful spin talent 😅. Thanks for the trip Matt, the views a the falls were beautiful. Look ing forward to the next video.✅
Missed the Julia/Matt vibe in this video, but Matt you did a wonderful job on your own. 🤘

I really enjoyed this video!! It brought back so many memories from when I went there 5 or 6 years ago. It’s so beautiful and the nature is stunning. I also took the cable cart up in Sarajevo to visit the Olympic village and the bobsleigh track. It was such a fun experience! I still wonder what the other destination was… 😉
Awe our playful couple ! I like this ‘’choice’’ ! It would be so nice to go together though……❤❤ loved that coast line view ! Such an interesting part of the world. A lot of history. One of our Dutch authors wrote a book about that region that I read half a lifetime ago. I think it was called; ‘’ De comedianten trokken voorbij ‘’ excuse my Dutch. Forgot the name of the author too. I miss Julia , sorry Matt. You made the most of this challenge ! ❤❤

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a great place to vacation. The Bosnian food is awesome.
Love from India ❤
as I remember history, there used to be a land border between Dubrovnik (then called Ragusa?) and Venice, but Dubrovnik did NOT want this border, so they gave the Neum area to the Ottoman Empire. Safety from Venice for Dubrovnik! In Tito's days, he had a huge hotel built in Neum as a vacation spot for officers in the Yugoslav Army and their families.
nice info

Sarajevo looks so historic and interesting.
There is a good Bosnian restaurant here in Los Angeles that serves great cevapi, pljeskavica, kajmak and some of the best restaurant bread I've ever had. They've also got a small deli that sells Bosnian and Serbian chocolates which are some of the best I've had. Bosnia is majority Muslim, but it's my understanding that the government is commitedly secular, the society is not very religious and fundamentalism has failed to take root. That makes it one of the very few Muslim countries on earth that I would feel comfortable visiting. Maybe someday we'll give Bosnia a go. I would love to go and see some of the Bosnian War sites, such as the sniper alley in Sarajevo and the memorial in Srebrenica. The Bosnian War is one of the few wars since 1900 involving Muslims versus other religions where the Muslims were the victims and not the instigators/aggressors.
That was fun. Great video. I was in Dubrovnik 40 yrs ago when I was 17. I feel very old now lol. Which booking site for flights do you use most of the time? Thanks.
Maps are better than Google!!!
Did you film all the overhead video or do you use some stock footage as well? If so who do you use? Thanks
Great Video Presentation but Matt, you might want to think about cutting down on those Horror Movies.
Venice claims Marco Polo as its own, but actually he was Croatian -- born on the island of Korcula (then part of the Republic of Venice)

Actually if you want to be less compulsive about traveling, that was good practice for Matt. Still traveling alone is not much fun. I imagine Matt misses his beautiful traveling buddy. I do think it is cheating a bit to go to familiar places. Matt needs to get out of the comfort zone.
