OCD, I have my own theory as to why Team Meents was included in the pack. Originally, if you didn't already know this, Maximum Destruction was supposed to debut in 2002. However in 2001, the 9/11 attacks occurred, so Tom decided to run a repainted Goldberg (aka Team Meents), as not to gain any controversy. Obviously the next year, Maximum Destruction would debut. So Team Meents is an early test of Maximum Destruction in a way. That's just one of the other reasons why I think they included Team Meents in the pack.

Wrong tom stated in the true life of tom meents DVD that he debuted team meents because he wanted to show his personality more and not show Goldberg's personality instead! So then tom had the idea of maximum destruction in late 2002 then debuted it in houston

they arent going to mention 9/11 in a more public interview, thats a more light hearted story they tell to not make the origins of max-d seem tied to the attacks, but it is a known fact that max-d waa supposed to debut in '02 but was held off in part due to what had happened in the year prior

In fact I probably throw out five the world finals 10 scuba 11s black 12s red I think it looks cool 13 yellow with mini Jim Kohler holding the two championship it may be a retro one orange or orange green

I wonder who they will do next maybe bounty hunter I can’t think of any other trucks that changed this much

I got this pack 'cause this video got me exited for it also I'm a big fan of maxd.

The digger 5 packs are long gone, just waiting for these beautiful new five packs

I wish they would have put a plastic window in the box over the trucks for the digger and this set. They did all that work on the chassis and the body still doesn't sit properly on it.

i really want this 5-pack,maybe because it has the team meents and 10th anniversary max-d

Until we get the long-type Meents chassis, this will do for now. Good on spin master for the detail.

I gotta get the second addition of the Grave Digger Retro 5 pack. The ones without a passenger side door. I can understand why Goldberg wasn’t in the pack. It doesn’t count as anything to do with Tom.

My fav is definitely Retro maximum destruction 03 and Team MEENTS 02 ,THOSE bright orange 🍊 rims just set it off on maximum destruction

I HAVE TO GET THIS I already have the grave digger retro addition pack so for my birthday ima ask for tgis

I predicted majority of the trucks in this pack, however the Max-D 10th Anniversary LED body caught me off guard! Its one of my favorite Max-D designs of all time, and it holds a place in my heart since I got to see it back in Houston 2013, where Tom was the highlight of the entire show, and made 2013 one of my favorite seasons. Hopefully next year for the Retro Rebels 5-Pack, I'm hoping for either Team Zombie, Team El Toro Loco, or Team Monster Mutt.

If they do a zombie five pack they should have at least either the orginal zombie/ no arms in 2013 ( they dont really to do that but it is the orignail zombie it started with) and have corrected skelton zombie and i do hope they do a five pack from trucks from the past and do a rasin kane team five pack plz

One day I was going to Target to see if they have the farewell Chrome Medusa 5 pack but there wasn't any so I looked on the pegs and there was no truck insight and they had team meents and that was the only one there in 2017

Hi, I found about your channel a couple weeeks ago. I am a Hot Wheels collector and always thought the Monster Jam brand was a fantasy brand for the Monster Trucks Line of Hot Wheels. I know thanks to your channel is a eal thing and the models are actually based on actual cars which is crazy to me, I´ve seen some of the real cars competing on videos here and is awesome. So. I came through this pack some days ago at a toy store, never saw it anywhere else so I decided to check if you had a video on it. When I found out it was a Target exclusive ( I am in Spain and we do not have Traget and most of the Walmart and Target exclusives for Hot Wheels never arrive here ) I just went and got it, it was 29 dollars but still, each truck was about just half of what a single car usually costs. So thank you very much!

They need to add a monster mutt 5 pack; with a few of them being the original body styles, like monster mutt and Dalmatian/Rottweiler, and they could also have junkyard dog

Will this new chassis be used in the mainline now or just special releases? It makes me want bulldozer on this chassis. Edit; if that is a advanced auto parts logo, we could get grinder.

All Max-Ds (if they require it) will more than likely have this chassis in the mainline. This was an expensive endeavor, so I am certain it will be used at every opportunity!

I owned The 2003-2012 Max-d from Hot Wheels and the original red Max-d

Honestly I want this pack more than the grave digger I still have the 2003 body max d from hot wheels

I called 4 out of the 5 trucks😆

I was able to score me this five pack in 2021 But I actually took the time to look at the packaging and I noticed that Spin Master was right to not put the monster jam logo in between the tail lights. It clearly has proof on the packaging that 10th anniversary Max d and the red Max d did not have it.

I think the color of Team Meents should be darker.
